  3. Yes mate, I've got several shitter Supras on my drive. Help yourself. I would think that something for £150 is very likely to let you down Wouldn't it be easier to buy like a £500 - £1000 car, use it for a few weeks then sell it on and get your money back. There's always people looking for
  4. Ah yes, found it. Doesn't seem to work on here though
  5. FireFox 2 is supposed to have a built in spellchecker, innit? Where is it? Buggered if I can find it.

  7. Well it turned out that he hasn't got a standalone cable modem, he's got a NTL set-top box which the existing pc was connected to via ethernet. We bought one of these : http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?LIN-WRT54G and connected the PC to that and from that to the set-top box. On the desktop PC we ran the setup CD that came with the router and now the wireless is working fine (on the laptops) but the desktop PC now can't connect to the internet. It always comes up with an NTL set up page and you can't get past that. I guess I need a NTL setup CD or sonething but he doesn't know where it is and I can't find anything useful on the NTLHome web site. :Grrrrr:
  8. My mate has a PC which is connected to the net via NTL (cable rather than DSL). Now he wants to also connect to the net via his two laptops at the some location using the same broadband connection. The laptops both have Wireless already. What do I need, a router? Most of the ones I'm seeing on the net seem to be for ADSL rather than cable. Edit to add; seems like either one of these Linksys ones would work, right? Would I still need to use the existing cable modem or do these replace that?
  9. I bet it's the left hand one broken? Must be one of the commonest fault on Supras - they're all like it! I'm not helping much, am I dad? [/DickEmery]

    Hi

http://www.oneposter.com/UserData/Poster/Poster_26269.jpg Hey Tim. I was thinking of you earlier today. Wasn't it you that originally posted that "I need your advice" joke thread that ended with "shall I take it to a bodyshop or do it myself?" ?
  11. Wheel widths? Tyre sizes? Pics?
  12. Jake

    Thank you CJ :)

Congratulations Which one did you buy?
  13. Jake

    Tyre sizes?

Depends how wide they are. http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbibles/tyre_bible.html
  14. Gadget, I think Lucasl is talking about the Idler Pulley (A) and you are talking about the hydraulic tensioner (B).
  15. I believe that doing it that way will result in the cambelt being over-tightened. The 'hand grenade pin' style method is the recommeded way to install the tensioner.
  16. Looking good. I've never taken the turbos off the manifold. I always removed the whole lot in one piece. The bottom manifold nuts are a pain to get at but it can be done with a wobbly socket. Mind you, I've not done it with the engine in situ. Having the engine out of the car helps a lot! I'd also like to say how good it is that Darryl has used thumbnails linked to full sized pics. It's such a pain when you're trying to read a thread and the page keeps jumping about as full sized embedded pictures that you've already seen are slowly loading.
  17. Blimey that's an old one! Answers the question though. Cheers. 225/16/14 ? What do you mean? 275/35/17 and 235/40/17 are about right. Shouldn't cause you any problems.
