  1. Amusing because of his accent. He wasn't that great of a singer really though, was he? I mean, it wasn't as moving as say, the mad scotch woman or Paul Potts
  2. Your TRD speedo is worth £££ so you probably would want to swap/PX that for a j-spec speedo with money your way (£100+ your way I'd guess) Then you can buy the dial faces you want for all three gauges from the links already posted above,
  3. Do you just want a replacement set of gauge dial faces? Have you done a search? Is your car J-spec? Uk Spec? Is your car Auto? Manual? Tip? TT? NA?
  4. I reckon 100c is not a problem. You can be up to 115-120C (240-250F) before you are needing to worry and back off to get temps down a bit. Probably lots of folks are getting similar temps but just don't know about it due to the rubbish stock Temp gauge. The NA rad isn't ideal but TT Supes have run them OK. Although obviously I'd look to change it for a proper TT rad if cooling is becoming an issue.
  5. Mine ran great with a Motec M600. The current owner has got it running even better with a Solaris stand-alone.
  6. Out of interest, did you reset the ECU after replacing the knock sensor? (before swapping the ECU I mean)
  7. You scored: 15/20 A solid performance but you wouldn’t make the podium.
  8. You scored: 15/20 Congratulations, you have achieved the Volvo of scores: serviceable, workmanlike, but hardly exciting.
  9. £400? That's a bargain! Would this be good as an in-car camera? (Is that why you've got one?) I presume you could run it from a ciggie-lighter power supply, right?
  10. How can you tell? Even if it is specifically RHD I'm not sure what you mean by the Hmmm? RHD and Kph speedos are used in several countries, eg Aus and NZ
  11. I think that would be the wise thing to do. It's not the sort of job you'd want to do twice, is it! fyi: When I priced this job up a while ago I found it was as cheap to buy a complete head service kit (Head gasket etc) as to buy the stem seals alone. (that was through Steve Manley)
  12. Hmmm, I dunno then Matt. I'm wondering if your ones are genuine Toyota parts or if they're some cheap eBay type chinese knock-off parts. You might be getting yourself into more trouble than it's worth.
  13. Here you go mate... See post number 16 in Tony License's "How To: Valve Stem Seal Replacement" thread
  14. I'd have thought that the black/metal ones are for the exhaust valves. Do you have the part numbers of the seals you've bought?
  15. Depends on who you mean by "they". Visa don't but the card issuer often does. (I work for Visa) Some of the issuers have huge anti-fraud teams, others don't seem to think it's worth pursuing.
  16. If they won't play ball you could threaten to (and if necessary, actually) take them to small claims court. I've never done it but I understand it's quite simple to do these days. Michael will know all about it, iirc.
  17. Your contract under the Sale Of Goods Act is with the retailer, not with the manufacturer.
  18. Should have bought an Xbox360 mate, they have a 3 year guarantee. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=1772895&highlight=xbx*#post1772895
  19. Loads of folks have tried to do this over the years but it always boils down to the fact that folks won't put a sum like £50 or even £10 into a lottery where they have no way of knowing whether the draw will be fair. Folks don't know if the raffle organizer might engineer things so that his best mate wins. How would get around this? If you can't it's going to be a non-starter.
  20. "The Secret Of Monkey Island" wasn't it? Guybrush Threepwood or something like that? Played it for a looongtime on my Amiga 500. Twas good at the time.
