  2. Now we all know which model Imi has got.
  3. No, I'm afraid the US ones are totally incompatible with the JDM Supras. Shame really, they would have been a steal at that price! Pass on the details though Greg mate. I'll have them for my, errr, US spec Supra. :innocent:
  4. I don't think you can once there is a reply. Did you start a thread in Technical with a subject like "Please help me!!!" and then wonder why it didn't get any replies? (I know you didn't, I already looked)
  5. Well I seem to have a spark but it's yellow rather than blue and not very impressive looking. Bloody cars
  6. 50+ miles Was my description of Checking For A Spark about right?
  7. I've checked the ones in the fusebox. Don't know where else to look really. Do I test for a spark by holding a connected plug against the cam cover and turning it over? I'll do that when somebody else comes home, my arms aren't long enough to turn the key and be under the bonnet simultaneously Not sure what I'm looking for when it comes to earths. I've checked about for loose connections but other than that...? No. The car was running fine a week ago, the last time I drove it. My money is still on a dodgy ignitor pack. Shame I can't think of anyone local with a VVTi I could test it on.
  8. Fuel pressure is showing normal on the aeromotive FPR gauge. I whipped #1 plug out (cos you can do that without arsing about with the coil packs) and it's wet and smells of petrol. The ignitor pack swap is a no-go. They're different connectors on the pre-VVTi
  9. As you suspected I don't have a functioning MIL light because of the Motec. Thinking about it, it probably doesn't have a FBW throttle, not sure though. I tried resetting the stock ECU just now but when I tried to start the engine it turned over for a while and then did a massive backfire. I'll try the igniter pack from my other Supe first 'cos that's a five minute job. If no joy I'll take the plugs out. I wish taking the plugs out wasn't such a pain on these cars!
  10. (VVTi, Single turbo, Motec M600 piggy-backed onto stock ECU) My car had a flat battery so I put it on charge overnight. I charged the battery on the car rather than removing or disconnecting it, because I'm lazy and it was raining. When I went to move the car from the driveway to the road yesterday it took a few attempts to get it running and it sounded rough when it did start, like it wasn't running on all cylinders maybe. Now I can't get it started at all. It turns over OK but hardly seems to fire at all. If I press the throttle pedal (which I don't usually do when starting a car) it doesn't feel right, seems like the first half of the throttle pedal travel isn't doing anything - but it only does that after I've pressed the pedal once, the first time it feels OK. Something to do with the VVTi's FBW throttle? Any ideas? Could I have fried the ignitor pack by charging the battery still connected? Any suggestions? Thanks
  11. Billy wanted to purchase a Christmas gift for his new sweetheart. They had not been going out together for very long. So, after careful consideration, he decided that a pair of gloves would most appropriate; romantic but not too personal. He then engaged the help of his sweetheart's younger sister to assist him in choosing an appropriate item; and off they went shopping together. Billy eventually bought a pair of very stylish winter gloves in pale pink and the sister took the opportunity of buying herself a pair of panties from the same store. However, during the wrapping process, the shop assistant mixed up the two items and the sister got the gloves and the sweetheart got the panties. Without thinking to check the contents, the young man sealed the package and sent it to his sweetheart with the following note "I chose these because I noticed that you are not in the habit of wearing any when we go out in the evening. If it had not been for your sister, I would have chosen the long ones with buttons down the side, but she wears short ones that are easier to remove. These are a delicate shade, but the lady I bought them from showed me the pair she had been wearing for the past three weeks and they are hardly soiled. I asked her to try yours on for me and she looked really smart. I wish I could be there to put them on for you the first time, as no doubt other hands will come in contact with them before I have a chance to see you again. When you take them off, remember to blow in them before putting them away, as they will naturally be a little damp from wearing. Just think how many times I will kiss them during the coming year! All my love. Billy'
  12. I put on my robe and wizard hat.
  13. Good luck with it Darren. I hope it's a good car for you. How do you mean dead? I think the oil pump is fooked cos the oil pressure light comes on at low revs and the bottom end knocks but it's not exactly dead - it still runs doesn't it? The turbos should be fine too. I bought them off a member on here as good, low mileage VVTi turbos.
  14. WTF /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_sad.gif Is this a for sale thread? How about some details of the car?
  15. Sky One 8pm to 10pm 17th and 18th Dec
  16. I has a couple of FS1Es when I was 16, a disgusting gold coloured one and a disgusting metallic purple one. As I recall the Honda S50 was quite unfashionable it was either the FS1E or Suzuki AP50 most guys (well kids) went for. Gawd knows why, they're all as ugly as sin really. Problem was the newer nice looking ones (DT50MX, ER50 etc) were all restricted to 30mph. The fastest moped kid in our town at time had a Puch GT.

  18. Might be a silly question but why don't you just tape it yourself?
