    B*tch!

WTF sort of name is that? Is she 12 years old?
  2. Me too. I was just about to post a WTF? /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_shock.gif He'll cut himself, that boy!
  3. The space heater hasn't done any harm. I only tried that this afternoon in case it was a damp problem. I've just tried earthing the plugs against the engine hook and the spark is fine. After testing the plugs the exhaust tail pipe stink of petrol too. If I'm getting sparks and fuel it's not the alarm causing the problem, right? Looking more like the MoTeC, ain't it?
  4. The aeromotive FPR has a pressure gauge and shows normal pressure. I held the threaded part of the plug contacting a cam cover and looked for the spark between the electrode and tip. Edit to add: I only checked for a spark on cylinder #1 No chance of doing that due to the way it's been wired. Most of the wires are no longer connected to the stock ecu sockets.
  5. Possible complication: To make sure the engine wasn't still damp I put a small space heater under the (closed) bonnet and took the battery off to charge fully. As soon as I'd taken the battery off the alarm started making a quiet siren noise. Not like the normal alarm going off noise - different and much quieter. In like 10 secs the noise got more feeble then stopped. I left the car with the heater going for 2 hours then reconnected the freshly charged battery but now the car just turns over with absolutely no signs of firing up at all. Bastard thing!
  6. errr, I take it back. Jody has just PM'd me to say he's posted it to me already.
  7. That's what I thought but Martin said "It's not Darren's to give away". They have a spare Igniter though. The engine and loom Jez supplied for white car's engine swap has an igniter with it. I kinda got the impression Martin just didn't want to help me. Payback for some comment I've made on here possibly/probably. Don't say that! Any idea how I would check? If it has lost the map the fucking thing will be coming out for good.
  8. ...and then the police wrote a warning that was word-for-word the same as the one that has been circulating on the intarwebs for the last couple of years? Yeah right. The only difference in your version is that it's been changed a little to make it less american sounding. The original seems to have been written by an american. Notice how the warning assumes everyone drives an auto and the use of "parking lot". And wouldn't you notice a piece of paper on the back window as you walked towards the rear of your vehicle? Done.

  11. I thought I'd had a bit of luck; the chap who bought my white VVTi said I could borrow the Igniter off that car for a day to test on mine, but sadly the car is at MkIVStore and Lucifer is reluctant to send it to me in case he needs it that day
  12. Why's that? The battery turns the engine over like a champ now it's fully charged
  13. I don't know Gosport very well but I get the idea. I used to do my community service at a place called Bridgemary which is near Gosport - that was pretty rough too.
  14. Yeah. I had a customer who gave her address as "Lime Grove, Cozzam" (You know how some people think it's posh to call Cosham 'Cozzam'?). I wouldn't have laughed if it wasn't for the fact the Lime Grove isn't even in Cosham - it's in Paulsgrove! And a woman I worked with, who also lived in Paulsgrove, used to say "overlooking Port Solent" if anyone asked where she lived! Fair point, well made
  15. Has Middle Park Way been moved to Havant then? (Middle Park Way is in Leigh Park but some folks who live there give their address as Middle Park Way, Havant because they don't want people thinking they live on the Leigh Park housing estate - even though they do)
  16. Isn't the coupling filled with white liquid like that? Mine was. It doesn't look much like coolant, does it? I would have thought that would be when it's completely fooked and has seized up, rather than when it's started leaking. Dunno mate, just suggesting a possibility other than a coolant leak you can't find
  17. I think the viscous coupling is on it's way out. Has it seized yet? Can you spin the fan manually when the engine is off?
  18. OK but you'll have to row it up there
  19. I've PM'd the new owner to see if he'll let me borrow the igniter. He's got another one with the loom for his new engine anyway so it shouldn't be a problem, I hope. Typical though isn't it? All those months that white car sat there doing nothing, 5 days after I sell it I need to borrow a bit off it
  20. Anybody got an igniter pack from a VVTi TT they can sell or lend me please? I need one to diagnose whether mine is faulty or not. Thanks

    eBay question..

And this new policy of not showing the bidder IDs means that the likes of us are now not able to spot Shill Bidders. Just another case of eBay supporting the scammers instead of the honest traders.
