I'm looking to get cable broadband and wondering whether to get the cable TV and binning Sky. The only problem is that I really like Sky Plus, but I see NTL now have this thing called 'NTL On Demand'. It's not a recorder like Sky+ but they make it sound like you can watch most programs any time you want (after the show is first aired of course). If any of you guys have NTL:OD can you tell me - does it really work like that or do they really only have a fraction of shows available for later viewing?

I don't like the newer versions of Windows Media Player. I use a thing called Media Player Classic. It plays everything and doesn't have any of the bloat you get with WMP.

Depends what you're comparing them to. UK spec and hybrid turbos are much slower spooling than the good old Jap ceramics. I'm glad you're happy with yours but I wouldn't have them as a gift. No offence like - just my personal opinion.

That's what I'd do. Hardly any, in my experience. Some gains you would expect from the extra boost are lost to heat because the small stock turbos aren't efficient at the higher boost levels. Depends on you pocket and whether being able to hit 1.2 all the time is important to you. Remember that when the weather is warmer your car won't make as much boost as it making at the moment, but with an EBC you can compensate for that and maintain your desired boost level. It should cut when the boost has been over 1.0bar for 3 secs (iirc)

As you said Jim, the boost doesn't get so high in the lower gears because the engine load is less. Around 16psi (1.1 bar) is fine, anything between 1.1 and 1.2 bar is ideal, so I wouldn't bother with an EBC if I were you.
