  1. I can't see any problem with it. In a way it makes perfect sense for those three things to have a common vacuum reference, since they're all so closely related.
  2. He's 20 later this month. God that makes me feel old.
  3. You know I hate you, right? Blimey. Little Joshua must've changed a bit since I last saw him! My Josh was just talking about you the other day - well, your car mainly.
  4. Can't you use a UK address to apply for it?
  5. Meh, you're lucky they let you have one at all. You come live in this shit-hole, drive to work in the dark and rain, work 12 hours, then drive home in the dark again, and you can have my passport for free. Don't worry, Col, I'll keep you Grecian bachelor pad tidy for you.
  6. Neither did he. Isn't his stock Supra actually one that was originally an auto and modded to be a 6sp manual? What other undeclared mods does it have, I wonder? Big single? Roll cage? Drag parachute and wheelie bars? This whole thread is a wind-up I reckon.
  7. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=209667 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=215166 Yeah it's pretty straightforward on a ramp, just make sure you don't scratch/kink/damage the seal getting it in - but be sure it's fully back far enough.
  8. Andrew O'Wallis ? I thought it was André Wow !
  9. Reply "Don't let the bed-bugs bite".
  10. Correct, and the trip has to be to a pre-booked appointment, although strangely, it can be to an MoT testing station anywhere you like, even John-o-groats if you lived in Lands End.
  11. No MoT = small fine and zero points. (I got done for it on my FireBlade a while back) It definitely does not legally invalidate your insurance, so you can't be charged for any offence there - but it may invalidate the fully comp aspect; ie they cannot wriggle out of paying third parties who they would have otherwise had to pay, but they might choose not to pay you out for your own claim (if you had one). They can't crush your car for no MoT either.
  12. I think I might be able to better that, Neo: My best eBay buy was the completely standard, low mileage, black TT6 I bought on ebay for £4750 from a guy who had been told by his company that they were relocating him back to Tokyo the following weekend. I sold it JamieP, it's his current black car that is so well known on here. I believe he's spent slightly more on it since then and it's not quite stock now.
  13. Flip paint? I thought that went out of fashion with the spice girls and the Playstation 2.
  14. I just checked it again and now it's reading .285 (No leading zero) at 2k setting and 0.29 (with leading zero) at 20k and 00.3 at 200k (two leading zeros) and 1 at 200 So it must be 285 Ohms I guess. Which means I haven't found the fault. Bugger.
  15. Why should it? I don't understand that. It's a digital meter, if it's within range it should display the correct reading not some 10x 100x multiple - shouldn't it? (I dunno just seem logical) Makes sense. Thanks. I hope it is fooked cos that means I've found the problem at last. At the other end of the wires reading from the solder points on the CPS itself I was getting a reading of just over 300 Ohms. So it is a multiple, how odd. thanks chaps.
  16. I'm trying to find a fault on my bike. I suspect the Crank Position Sensor might be faulty. the workshop manual says across the two pins on the plug from the CPS I should have 248 ~ 372Ω with "Tester selection position at Ωx100" Now, my voltmeter doesn't have a Ωx100 setting but it has Ω settings for 200, 2k, 20k, 200k, 2m When I test the CPS plug terminals using setting 200Ω the digital display just shows "1" - which means Out Of Range/Off Scale I believe. When I test the CPS with setting 2k it shows "0.89" And 20K shows "0.9" Anyone know what's going on here? I'm totally confused. As you can tell, I know nothing about electrics. Thanks
  17. Anyone else ever changed the oil filter on a Renault 5 GT Turbo? Hardest ever! By the time you have your hand on the filter there's no more room left to rotate the damn thing. Crazy design. I hate to admit it but most of the ones that came into our place for an oil and filter left with the same filter on, just polished up a bit. I only ever did the one R5, after that I made my excuses and left them to somebody else.
  18. Points for parking? What's the story there then? I didn't know you could could get points for parking offences, unless you were parked blocking a pedestrian crossing or something equally stupid.
  19. meh. I dunno how anyone watches that game. It's sooo dull.
