It depends. The choice of turbo would be a huge factor, as would a bunch of other things. I afraid it's one of those "how long is a piece of string" questions. Not really. It would strengthen the engine which obviously would you allow you to run more power than the stock parts could handle but the stock parts are very strong anyway. There are many guys in the USA with 600 (and above) RWHP on stock internals.

I'm interested in this horrible thing Millsy says happens at 120mph. IME speed cut isn't a violent loss of power like say Fuel Cut, it just stops accelerating almost as if you've backed off the throttle a little to much. Care to comment, Millsy?

A little more info Re. the cam covers; You need to disconnect the wiring loom where it goes over the front edge of the cam covers and on to the wastegate vsv, O² sensor, etc. Unclip it from all that stuff on the exhaust side and then lift it out of the way of the cam cover. It can be left dangling on the intake side while you swap the covers over. I hate removing cam covers. It's one of those jobs that looks like it should take five mins but actually takes ages.

No need to remove the viscous fan. It's a 5-10min job then. Just put a 14mm socket with decent length breaker bar (for the leverage) on the belt tensioner pulley's centre nut and rotate the tensioner clockwise.
