    Goodfellas

Ace movie that. One of my personal top 5 films evah.
  2. I wonder if my DP would line up to a t67 alright. Any idea how I'd find out? I could do without the balls ache of getting the DP modified
  3. OIC. No, some 96/97 facelift gunmetals ain't got vvti. (I think that's right) Cool, thanks a lot.
  4. The tiptronic ones do indeed. Some VVTi Supes are manuals though (not many, admittedly)
  5. Dan Turner mapped it (last) The remapping cost is apparently quite modest. Iirc Dan said probably a couple of hours @ £35/hr I'm seriously tempted to get a BL67DBB at the moment.
  6. My VVTi isn't grey and doesn't have paddles If it's an S reg or newer TT then it's a VVTi. Some R reg ones are VVTi too
  7. Performance or handling? edit, sorry it's an aerotop
  8. I would go for a 4088 but Jamie said it's not a straight swap. If I could identify a non-PHR turbo that's physically a straight swap and anythng from t61 to t67 I'd probably settle for that. How much was your BL67dbb then Darryl?

Blake? How ghey is that? You might as well call him Everard Havard
  11. Because this one has failed for no apparent reason and also because PHR will not release any specs or compressor maps for their turbos.
  12. Well yeah that's true but it does run out of steam shortly after that. Good point, that would be the sensible thing to do. Who are you and what have you done with our Jamie?
  13. Water in - water out, couple of hoses . . . how hard could it be?
  14. Adam, the guy from Turbo Dynamics rang me this morning about my PHR Stage One GT60 turbo. He said it's in a bad way. Apparently the bearing on the compressor side is knackered, which he said is unusual as it's usually the bearing on the turbine side that fails. He said it needs a new shaft as well. Five hundred and something quid to fix it he said. He also said that it was a bit undersized for a 3 litre engine and asked if it ran out of power at higher revs, which to be fair it does. He reckons it's a 0.71 A/R but I don't know anything about that because PHR won't divulge any specs for their turbos. Anyway, Adam said if it was his he would replace the hotside (I forget the correct term) with a larger size and convert the centre housing to water cooled. About £850 I think he said. The other option he said was to replace it with a T04Z dbb for about £1600 - which is out of the question I'm afraid. Any thoughts? What would you do? What other turbo would be a straight swap? I don't want to get involved changing downpipes etc if I can help it.

  18. I don't think the UK spec brakes were standard 'cos my 98 Tipto didn't have them. Personally I don't rate the Tiptronic mode much. It's too slow to change gears and not very smooth on downchanges. Love the VVTi engine though

  20. Did you get it OK Tom? My file server software is playing up. I saw a couple of folks download it but dunno if you were one of them.
  21. It's not showing in the BIOS, it's as if there is no HD fitted.
  22. I want to try that. I love Marmite
  23. Nice! Does that TRD style front bumper work OK with stock wings or does it require wider ones? Is the SMIC getting enough airflow?
  24. That'll be your third today - you're on a roll mate!
