    lovin the supra

Welcome ! Seems to be a lot of Zed owners migrating over to Supras lately. Wonder why that is? (Slow learners? ) What you got then mate? TT or NA? Manual or Auto? Any pics?
  3. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake
  4. Typical Aristo owner eh? Bless 'em.
  5. Holy crap! It's a new thread resurrection record!
  6. Mine does accelerate OK but the drop off in power at high revs is noticeable. I only had one run at TOTB before my clutch stated slipping and I think I was hanging onto the revs too long in each gear. Letting it rev to the redline is pointless with a small single, the power drops off way before then. I hadn't had the car dynoed at the time of TOTB and wasn't really used to driving it either.

Rosanna? Sorry, I could've sworn it was Rosemary. I wonder where I got that from

Huh? I've downloaded it and the quality is frankly poor.
  12. I dunno Wez, at TOTB it did ¼mile at 130mph but only managed just over 160mph in the full mile. The dyno sheets bear this out too, you can see that the power drops off after about 5800rpm http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/7834/w848xgpdynochartonlyud9.th.jpg Waterlooville near Portsmouth Hants, why?
  13. Nope, just swap it over. If you do it carefully you won't even need to regas the AC That's not right mate. Core plugs don't blow gaskets. Failed core plugs let the coolant escape and driving the car with no coolant is what does the damage. Also, core plugs are external. They just seal the holes in the block that were there to allow the sand to be removed after the block had been cast.
  14. I think you and Jamie are saying the same thing then Terry. So it sounds like a gt4088 or a BL67 with or without dbb might be a relatively painless swap.
  15. You can do it in a day if you have the tools and a hoist. Sadly I've done it a few times Depending which one, some core plugs are near impossible to get to with the engine in situ. Also, it sounds like the engine has been damaged due to running after the coolant has escaped.

The producer has said that it's definitely not someone's dream.

Good surprise ending to Lost this week!
  18. I think you're thinking of the TSD and DSC combo Daman. A FCD is always a separate thing afaik
  19. The speed cut is about accurate (if the correct circumference rear tyres are fitted) because the gearbox sensor knows the exact revolutions that = 155mph The speedo isn't accurate because it isnt They aren't accurate on many cars.
  20. Just remove the TRAC fuse or fit a delimiter. Thor Racing do a delimiter
  21. Yep. Yeah the speedos aren't very accurate.
  22. I don't know if it's 'clocked', or even what that means TBH, is that when it's on the piss compared to at right angles to the head? There's also the height issue to consider, isn't there? Or are the exhaust outlets all at the same height on different turbos? What is the issue with the water return then? How can a bit of hose and a couple of fittings cost £120?
