Jake's Selling All His Supra Stuff Now He Doesn't Have A Supra : ITEM 02 Front and rear leather seats. Bought from traders on this forum about 3 years ago and never fitted in a car by me, they've just sat in my garage ever since. The fronts are in good condition but need a good clean up where they've got dusty and a bit damp. I think I paid £350 for them - I'll take £150 for the pair, bearing in mind that somebody will have to spend a good hour on each one to make them really nice again. The rear seat is also leather, not the vinyl imitation leather crap that you've got in yours but sadly it's got a scratch on the leather right where you can see it when looking between the front seats. £50 or £25 if bought with the front seats mentioned above. Collection only (From Hampshire. Waterlooville or Basingstoke areas if it helps)

I think Abz's right about the BIOS settings Col. Have a go mate, even if you did manage to mess it up somehow, at the worst you'll just have to take it back to the shop for a BIOS reset (ie remove the mobo battery for a few seconds) Also in the BIOS thees a setting like "Halt on .....?" which is usually set to "All errors" or Keyboard errors" ... if you change that to "No errors" you might well find that your problem is fixed. Go for it. You're a tiger! GRRRRR

A few more things to mention, so I don't have to keep typing it in PMs for people.... Its a non-standard colour. Called "Thunderstorm", you can still get it no problem. The car was painted by Dude back in 2003. It was originally red. I also have a standard bumper (in silver though) if you don't like the VeilSide bumper. I also have two facelift front wings (in RSP) as well. So if you're not put off by some paintwork these parts could be put to good use. There's a chip on the drivers door handle, one where the rear spoiler meets the boot and another on the rear bumper. All could be touched in if you know what you're doing. That paint colour is quite dear though. I think its about £80 for half a litre. I have a very small amount of the paint left in a tin but not enough to even respray a single panel. If you were going to fit the stock bumper and/or facelift wings you'd need to buy some paint. Also I want to keep the number plate, but I can't transfer it over until the car is MOT'd - so I'd need to come to some agreement with the new owner about that.

I was thinking I'd want £2500 for it. What do you guys think? Worth that?

The engine is good and strong. Never given my any trouble in that department. It smokes some when started from cold, due to the usual valve stem oil seal problem. It's always done it, for as long as I've owned the car, and doesn't seem to have got any worse so I've not bothered getting it done. I put a battery (from my wifes Yaris ) on it in the summer and changed the petrol (didn't trust the fuel in it to not have 'gone-off'). Amazingly the engine started first time. So Itook it for a spin round the block (on trade plates of course, m'lud ) and apart from the brakes sticking at first it seemed alright. They feel bloody low when your used to a beemer and haven't driven a Supra for ages.

I'm putting my first ever Supra up for sale. I've had four Supras in total (My other 3 were all sold to, and still owned by, current members of this forum (wile e coyote's white VVTI Tip, SteveR's RSP 6sp, JamieP's black 6sp)) but this is the one I've owned since March 2003. Sadly I've rather neglected it since I got my M3 and it hasn't hardly been used for the last few years. The condition of the car is what is referred to in concours competition circles as "a shit state". The front of the car is the worst looking part because it's been parked with the front under a tree. There's a horrible layer of dirt and, I guess, sap - or somesuch. Now, it's not all bad, it does have some good points... Obviously it's a TT. It has UK spec front brakes. It has expensive and nice looking wheels (which need a good refurb but they are £2k wheels new, so worth getting done) errr, what else? Oh yeah, it's got Facelift headlights. and... errr, that's about it really. Now it's not all good, it does have some bad points..... (takes big breath).... The battery went flat ages ago and is now dead. The paintwork is in poor condition in places. The rubber ring thing that holds the rear silencer up has perished and snapped, so the exhaust is just laid on the floor under the car. The passenger side front wing was kicked and dented about three years ago. The dent was pushed out again but the paint is cracked where the dent was, by the side repeater. See pic below. Of course there's no MoT or road tax, the car has been SORN for the last 3 years! OK I'm bored of writing now. Have a look at the pics below and feel free to ask any questions if your interested at all. I'm not looking for a great deal of money for the car, and I really need the driveway space and less ear-ache from the Mrs. http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/4804/img1423ws.th.jpg http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/5742/img1424s.th.jpg http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/8530/img1432ir.th.jpg http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/9072/img1420o.th.jpg http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/4480/img1421v.th.jpg Cracked paint ... http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/3913/img1431z.th.jpg Mmmmm mildew ... http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/8197/img1428ep.th.jpg Mmmmm VeilSnide bumper ... http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/5673/img1426k.th.jpg Brakes ... http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/5845/img1427l.th.jpg Yes officer, of course it's got tax ... http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/1482/img1429lv.th.jpg Hello, Detailing World? .... http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/4448/img1425e.th.jpg

Ah yes, the one where he went for a drive to the coast with his mother in law and raced some bikes at 190mph on the way home. I believed it.

how's it going mate? Still given up? I saw something which said average life expectancy for a UK male is 76½ - so you're well on the downslope ! So am I So is Ash, but due to his driving rather than age.

The box you are describing is the ECU but that's unlikely to be causing the problem with the dash illumination. Sounds like maybe an electrical contact problem or somesuch with the shifter itself.
-
Doesn't look any worse than a real r35 though.

Really? Well that explains a lot. Security guards; all made from the same mould, it seems. Edit, Hold on though. He can't be a security guard, he said he's well paid.

I'd check your propshaft centre bearing and the rear gearbox mount. You probably don't want to see what a broken propshaft can do if it lets go at speed.

Morning Michael. Let me know when you need a break, I can take over the trolling for a while.
