  1. Cheeky bugger. You're already in paradise compared to that sub-zero east European dump you're from. At least you don't get paid in potatoes over here
  2. No, it was presented as something in the papers. Not necessarily the same thing.
  3. You can use an auto one on a manual car fine though. The damper isn't really necessary.
  4. 5speed auto? Are you sure? Seems odd that it would have a 5sp and yet they put a 4sp auto in the Supra.
  5. Very nice. One of the few Supras on here I would happily have instead of mine.
  6. How would you calibrate one, there's no digits on the dial. I would think it'd be too small to focus on while it would matter anyway
  7. Which pulley do you mean? Could you have got the timing 180 degrees out? I presume you know the crank revolves twice for every one revolution of the cams?

    Alan Ball

At a press conference this afternoon it was announced that David Beckham has been asked to arrange the late Alan Ball's funeral. Victoria Beckham said "David's a dead ball specialist, so it makes perfect sense"
  9. 1) b'have 2) Ewen 3) Ivan (depending on birthday plans) 4) SimonB 5) Jake - (if I can get a turbo in time)
  10. Dunno mate, but I'd be surprised if they did 'cos I've tried about 5 other suppliers and they all seem to just order them in from Garrett when they sell one.
  11. What was the point you were trying to make? It was that a spinning turbine wheel has 'no inertia', wasn't it? Where did this figure of 800rpm come from? So you're saying DBB turbos don't spin for longer than journal bearing ones once the flow of gas through the turbine has stopped?
  12. Well don't hold your breath for it James because apparently Garrett are completely out of them and are waiting for more to be made.
  13. Oh so the turbo just stops spinning the moment you take your foot off the gas to change gear does it?
  14. How much slower though? We're talking about milliseconds, aren't we? Also Jamie, on a related note, A DBB turbo would help because boost doesn't drop boost between gearchanges as much as with a journal bearing turbo.
  15. Look at it this way, how many litres of air is the engine ingesting at say 3000rpm? Even at atmospheric pressure it would be 3000cc x 1500rpm which is 4,500 litres per min. (if I've done that right) I can't see a couple of extra litres of intercooler volume making sod all difference really.

    Sat nav question

Tap on the bottom RHS where the GPS signal strength bars are, then in the same place it'll say the version number. Tap again on that version number for more detailed info.

    Sat nav question

    For a price? How much?
  18. Yeah just had a look. On the page "Sell: Create Your Listing" scroll down to to "How you're selling" and under where it says "No Reserve price set for this item" click on "Change"
