With all the talk on here on here of running Sat Nav on the Nokia n95 I thought I might get one. Had a look on eBay and they seem to go for about £300. (Which seems like an outrageous price for mobile phone to me, but anyway...) This one has just sold for apparently £718. What am I missing here? Check the intercooler hoses. The one down the side of the radiator by the battery has come loose a couple of times on mine.

Are they the same maps as the regular TomToms use? I presume so but don't know for sure.

It would be expensive and really you're never going to get a standalone mapped as well as Toyota have done. You couldn't stop the turbos overboosting though. A stand-alone ECU can't compensate for the undersized j-spec wastegate.

I have an understanding and well paid Mrs, without her I'd be fooked. Thank goodness I'm such an amazing stud else I'd probably have not got away with it for the last 20 months. Do you know that they actually charge you more for insurance if you're unemployed? Yes mate. -

TBH I went for the 285 for two reasons: 1, I have 10" wide rears so 285 isn't a problem there. 2, they were £20 per tyre cheaper than 275/35/18 at the time (God knows why)

I've got 285/35/18 on mine and I can really feel the difference in sidewall height compared to the stock tyre size. I reckon 40 profile would make it too "Starsky And Hutch" (Arse in the air) and almost certainly rub the arches on hard cornering.

You have 275/40/18 ? With what mods? What do you mean about the cost? They would probably be cheaper than 275/35/18, wouldn't they?

40 series is way too high. You can get away with 35s at that width and wheel diameter but I wouldn't go any bigger.

From what I've read people have got TomTom working on the N95 fine, it's just the N95's integrated GPS receiver that doesn't work. It's OK if you use a regular bluetooth GPS. Does the n95 have a touchscreen, Michael?
