Thanks for kind words about my car. I like it (I mean the car, not your words). I don't think it got a mention in the "Nicest Supras" thread the other day. :sulk:
I bought it with the single already on but it needed mapping because it had just had an engine rebuild and a few other bits. I paid just under 17k for it but have spent about 2½k getting it sorted since then.
Sadly the old fashioned PHR turbo has failed and I'm waiting for a more modern turbo to be delivered, so the car is off the road at the moment - but it's generally very reliable apart from the crappy state-of-the-ark PHR turbo.
As long as a singled Supra has quality components and has been mapped properly (this is the hardest thing) there's no reason it shouldn't be perfectly reliable.
Obviously it will eat tyres and clutches and drink fuel but with over 500 genuine (not Thor) horsepower it's bound to.
If you want an easy life, or if it's your only transport, don't get a single turbo Supra. They're amazing fun but there's a lot of heartache on the road to getting them just right.
