    turbo timer

Why don't you just disconnect the turbo timer? They don't do anything useful anyway.
  4. I've got a 5m HDMI going to a 50" Panasonic plasma. The picture quality is 100% perfect and has been for the last 2+ years. It's only a cheapo cable but with digital cables it doesn't make any odds.
  5. Iridium plugs mustn't be re-gapped.
  6. I love how people like scotty and David, who apparently can't even spell words like "of" and "thanks", are trying to take the piss out of me because I don't know whether there's a setting on the iPhone that has to be turned on/off to automatically update the clock for daylight saving time changes. Maybe I'm the only one that finds it ironic. Ah well, good night chaps - thanks for all the help
  7. Looks pretty tidy. Where does the vent hose from the OS cam cover go to? Have you had NOS on a car before? Personally I wouldn't waste my money on it, but hey, it's your car. I see from the above pics it's an Auto. Do you anticipate any problem in that regard? What ECU and turbo have you gone for? Best of luck mate. I'm sure Matt and John will see you right.
  8. Cheers Abz mate. Hope you're right! "thank's"? Not worked out the apostrophe yet then? Don't worry, David, I didn't start panicking in the 7 mins nobody had replied.
  9. Crikey, you are the king of the inscrutable post.* See, if you don't quote the person you're replying too it kinda makes it hard to figure out who you are directing your post at. *Don't take that as a compliment.
  10. Just checking, that wasn't a reply to me, was it?
  11. I have to get up at 5am for work. If I set my iPhone alarm for 5am now will it go off at 0500 GMT or 0500 BST? I really don't want to get up an hour earlier than necessary! Anyone know?
  12. What's up with that graph? Surely, given a fixed scale, the torque and bhp lines should cross only once. What am I missing?
  13. and a stock, untouched bottom end is often way more reliable than one full of after-market 'uprated' parts. Asses?
  14. To be fair, you aren't a customer of theirs, are you? Wasn't the paint job done like 4-5 years ago when the car was owned by somebody else?
  15. That's a coincidence! I had two new tyres from there a fortnight ago. When washing my car the next day I noticed that the tyre fitter has scratched the powder coating on one of my wheels.
  16. Must cost you a fair few quid getting insurance on a chipped Astra, even if it is only a poxy 220bhp. You have declared it, right? (To your insurance company, I mean, as well as the whole world now)
  17. Doesn't the motorola canteen incident count against you mate? I presume that counts as an accident and claim against you even though (iirc) it was on your old dear's insurance.
  18. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.

    Texas mile!

errr, the cam covers are on it.

    Motorbikes

My mate did that. He'd never ridden a bike before he did the course and test then went out and bought a R1 as his first bike. That was more than 5 years ago and he's still alive. I'm not saying it's the best idea for everyone but if you're half-sensible and have some self-control it can be done quite safely.
  21. I sit corrected. Thanks for clearing that up. Apologies to Hodge for the incorrect info.
