TRhere isnt away of forwarding a bunch of emaiuls seperately with OE, afaik. you can attach a bunch of them to a single email if you like but thats not what youre after isit? i get the strange feeling im gonna be ashmed of this post toimorrow but wht im just trying to help doug cos i like him GO JAKEY!!!!!!!
  4. All the pre-vvti ones look much alike but the VVTi ones are quite different. For a start there's 5 electrical sockets that plug into the vvti ECU. Hopefully the attached pics might help you tell which you have.
  5. Isn't that an oxymoron?
  6. yes, I know you're right but sometimes it's easier to not go into details (although I'm a pedant as well). As you say, the gearbox noise is caused because of the lightened flywheel, so it was near enough.
  7. Got a photo of said ECU then matey? So we know what you're selling.
  8. 'tis a good point, there's no denying.
  9. Yep. Sounds like a bag of spanners. Sounds even worse as the engine dies when you turn it off. Fact of life though mate with lightened flywheels. I wouldn't have another one TBH.
  10. Mines idling at about 800rpm (Motec ECU, OSG twin plate and light weight flywheel, HKS 264 cams, built engine) ....but when I start it from hot the idle is all over the place for the first 10-20seconds. AFRs are wandering about between 15 and 17 at tickover. After say 30secs or so it settles down fine but before that it's prone to stalling. - - - - - Edit to add: This has only been an issue since I changed the exhaust. I guess the mapping wants tweaking to allow for the different restriction of the new zorst.
  11. Blimey. That's Sig-worthy that is. http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/9993/disabledqt2.jpg
  12. I didn't think VVTi came out until late 97?

    Diff Help TRD

Just out of interest, how can you tell it's got a TRD diff rather than the stock Toyota torsen diff?
  14. Well I've never heard that before! Can anyone else confirm this? VVTi isn't electronic ignition, it's variable valve timing on the intake camshaft.
  15. Were 17" wheels ever standard on the NA? I thought upgrading to TT size wheels and tyres was an optional extra.

    How do you

At least it's better than posting with a subject like "Help!"
  17. Is it? (I presume you're talking about vvti NA Supras, 'cos the VVTi TT alternator is in the same place as on the older pre-VVTi ones)
  18. Huh? What was that about a fan? Would you mind writing your posts in English please mate? Life's too short for me to have to figure out what the hell you were trying to say. Thanks.
  19. So did mine (the white one)

    tyre sizes

    no 245/45/18 is too high anyway. 265/35/18 is nearer to the stock rolling radius. - - - - - - - edit to add: You'll want 245/40/18 on the front, not 245/45/18 - - - - - - -
  21. CW has a point. I rely on Sat Nav to get me everywhere I don't know. I don't even look at the route I just bung the destination into TomTom and blindly go where it tells me. Usually that works fine but yesterday I need to go to Leicester but when I got to the M1 it was closed because of an accident. I told TomTom to avoid the m1 for the next 3 miles and find an alternative - which usually works fine - but this time it just said "No route found" - bloody marvellous.

    Supras common?

Thinking about people saying the Supra is getting common. I've driven 400 miles today. Portsmouth >London >Leicester >Northampton > Oxford > Newbury > Southampton > Portsmouth and I didnt see ONE single Supra. I saw 7 Porsche Cayennes, 6 BMW X5s (both of which I'm considering for my next car), 1 BMW X3 and 14 various 911s and two Boxsters (barf). I always thought X5s were common but it seems like there's more Cayennes around here and London nowadays. So much for the Supra being common.
