Me too. Solaris is mostly the same as AIX though innit? It better be or I'm screwed! I don't start 'til tomorrow though, Gav. I'm on the shift/team as Ashley. I hope he doesn't bully me.

There's some belters from Ian C in that thread too!

Me too, Doug. It'll be the first one I've missed since 2003 Well, you could do my shift at Visa Europe that weekend. How's your Unix skillz?
  4. Aah it's no fun if you AEM boys aren't going to bite I'm just joshing about the AEM 'cos my ECU (which I inherited with the car) is the currently fashionable one.

Yeah, I miss Paul Evans too
  6. While searching for something else just now I found this classic old thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=21366 Those were the days.

Ah yes, I was forgetting about that Still, you're a good boy now. Sorry for dragging up your previous indiscretions - we've got them.
  8. I had a look Col but I didn't find anything useful.

You'd have loved some of Jazz's old stories then. If I remember correctly, he used to admit to taking his Supra out for a spin with no insurance and losing control of it
  10. That'll be it then. You probably need the newer version of ActiveSync: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=22&p=1&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId=&u=%2fdownloads%2fdetails.aspx%3fFamilyID%3d9e641c34-6f7f-404d-a04b-dc09f8141141%26DisplayLang%3den And the .net CF 2.0 here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9655156b-356b-4a2c-857c-e62f50ae9a55&displaylang=en
  11. Isn't that about average reliability for AEMs users?
  12. You have a good point Tony and I largely agree with you. The only thing is that I don't really want to rack up loads of miles on my nice Supra by sitting in commuter traffic. You can't really enjoy a big power Supe when you're stuck in a traffic jam.
  13. Mine's my everyday car. I'm starting a new job tomorrow and will be using it to do the 75mile round trip commute. What's the point of having a Supra if you aren't going to use it? If I decide to not use the Supra for getting to work I may as well flog it. I'm guessing from the (u,ur,coz) lowercase chav-speak that you're quite young though. Maybe you should wait until you're a bit older and can afford the running costs?
  14. I've seen some of Col's work and it was very good. He's a really sound guy too. He usually comes to TOTB with the Phoenix boys.
  15. I had to reinstall ActiveSync (Version 4.5.0, what version do you have Dave?) and then the .NET CF 2 framework.
  16. 190+ MPH police pursuit bike = £10k 190+ MPH police pursuit car = ??? police pursuit helicoptor = ???
  17. The clutch might but the gearbox won't. Not for long anyway.
  18. Why did you obscure the number plate?
  19. No. And that's not what it say in the quote from Al that you have included. It's simple: All VVTi autos are tiptronic. All pre-VVti autos are not Tiptronic.

    Brake pads.

It depends what you mean by "all jspec ones". Jspec Supras could have either type of brakes fitted (j-spec brakes or Uk Spec ones) But j-spec brakes on a j-spec TT are the same as j-spec brakes on a NA. Does that make it any clearer?
  21. Yes, that was my understanding too.
  22. I've never seen a VVTi auto that wasn't tiptronic.
