  1. You would be better spending the money on a card reader IMO mate

Larger? Define larger? My j-spec has those. Where is this larger transmission cooler on your auto UK spec? To improve MPG is it? How does it do that then? Same as most j-specs then. Oh really? The UK has REAS suspension does it? Carbon fibre steering wheel? That would perhaps be staggering if it was true. It's not true though.
  3. OK so you're looking at the card through Active Sync then? When you go to Explore (via Active Sync) and then open the \Storage Card folder you can't see any files there? Have you got "Show Hidden Files And Folders" enabled in Tools, Folder Options, View?

You are right that I'm pedantic. The reason for that is because I don't like seeing things stated as fact that are incorrect. I don't mean to offend you by being like it but if you take it that way.... oh well Anyway, I'm pretty sure all all Supras, regardless of UK Spec, JSpec, US spec, were built/assembled/whatever you want to call it, in Japan. The parts aren't obviously cheaper though. 99% of the parts are the same between uk and j-spec Supras. You may think so. The cars do have different specs and each spec has its benefits. Some of the UKs so-called spec advantages are not desirable to many of us.
  5. Do you have a usb SD card reader that you can read the card with rather than trying to do it in the PDA?
  6. I'm trying to get my AC working through my Motec. Would I right in thinking that when the aircon is on and working, and the engine is running, the centre part of the or the aircon compressor pulley rotates with the outer ring of the pulley? I presume that'll be the easiest way to tell I've managed to get the motec to engage the AC clutch, right? (when I see it start spinning)

UK built? I don't think so. I'm sure that's a "backronym" that MSB owners came up with to explain away what MSB really stands for. It's not Gunmetal. Deffo MSB.
  8. I don't think JJ means what you think it does mate. It's nothing to do with the wheel width.
  9. Yep : http://www.gavindixon.com/blogpost/images/cfrog.jpg
  10. Does that one eliminate the VVTi gearbox (kickdown) and TRAC problems that all the other converters seem to cause?

    Good luck Jake!

Yeah, I think I will once I know the ropes. They seem like a good bunch of guys and the money is good. The only thing I don't like so far is that they have these ridiculous finger print scanners, on practically every door inside the building, which for some reason only recognize my prints about 1 time in 20. Sometimes it takes me like three minutes to get through one door. It makes going for an emergency piss quite exciting though.

    Good luck Jake!

Bloody hell I'm knackered! It's pretty hectic there and I don't have a clue what I'm doing. They've teamed me up with some geezer called Ashley Wills who seems to know his stuff (Yeah I know, I wouldn't have believed it either!). It was all a bit mind-blowing really but I'm sure I'll get to grips with it eventually. The most exciting moment of the day was when Ash nearly stacked his car into a massive truck on the way home. Anyway, thanks for all the good luck wishes guys

  14. Stig's a handsome boy now! What's the Doberman's name? They're quite often pretty slim aren't they?
  15. I'm pretty sure Rob has got R 800OST on his current Supe. Same colour VVTi Tip IIRC
  16. I've got the engine from that wreck in my garage.
  17. THAT'S THE FELLA! R 800OST wasn't it? (Before he rolled the car and wrote it off)
  18. I see. I'm sure I've seen a plate very like that on a Supra on here. Kudos to you for mapping it yourself matey. Do you have previous experience mapping cars? It's all a bit of a mystery to me TBH. Hopefully the new cams will garner you some extra torque but 470odd isn't to be sniffed at. Anyway, best of luck with it mate. Keep us posted of your progress, won't you?
  19. Bigger than allowed for us mere mortals. It's abuse of power I tell you.
  20. Nice car apart from the spoiler. The plate looks familiar, was the prevous owner a member on here? Only 477 ft-lbs torque? Shouldn't it be more with that turbo? Was it dyno'd at Thor Racing by any chance?

    Classic old thread

That's vi not VI you n00b! I nearly had a fit when they first showed me the vi editor. I was like "let me get this straight; I press the L key to move the cursor right? Can't I just use notepad and paste it in when I'm done?" I love vi now though. Best editor ever.

Nah, I owe him a lot. I wouldn't have even got the interview there if it wasn't for him. I offered him a £500 'thank-you' but he wouldn't take it. Top geezer!
