That looks mean as hell, especially in black. I wonder how much they'll be going for? I'm seriously tempted.

    Who's got Sky HD?

I wonder why that is? Folks not impressed with them?

    Who's got Sky HD?

Thanks Joe. Oh well, they're already pulling my pants down for £54 a month so I won't hardly notice another tenner.
  4. Looks like my poxy Sky+ box has just bought the farm. If I'm gonna buy another one (can't live without Sky+ now) then I may as well upgrade to a Sky HD box instead . . . as long as it works as a Sky+ box too. I think it does, can anyone confirm that? Any downsides I should be aware of? Thanks

    Hi Honey

By the way, the word is hark not arc
  6. The VNT ones are looking very like the ideal. It'll be some time before they are a viable choice for the aftermarket though
  7. If you're using XP then you want this: http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe
  8. Be careful Adam. Some insurance companies quote you for a MKIII regardless of the year of the car. Apparently it's due to the crap database they use. Tesco are particularly bad for doing this. They had my 98 VVTi Tiptronic Supra down as a MKIII. I didn't notice for the first year but when I finally did query the incorrect engine cc and asked what would've happened if I'd needed to claim they said they wouldn't have paid out! How ridiculous is that? All manual MkIV Supra TTs are 6speed. There's no such thing as a UK spec RZ. RZ is jap import only.
  9. Dismissal from Autocar Magazine May confessed that he was fired in 1992 from Autocar magazine after putting together a hidden message in one issue. At the end of the year, the magazine's "Road Test Year Book" supplement was published. Each spread featured four car reviews and each review started with a large, red, drop capital letter. May's role was to put the entire supplement together, which "was extremely boring and took several months". He went on to say: So I had this idea that if I re-edited the beginnings of all the little texts, I could make these red letters spell out a message through the magazine, which I thought was brilliant. I can't remember exactly what it said, but it was to the effect that "You might think this is a really great thing, but if you were sitting here making it up you'd realise it's a real pain in the arse". It took me about two months to do it and on the day that it came out I'd actually forgotten that I'd done it because there's a bit of a gap between it being "put to bed" and coming out on the shelves. When I arrived at work that morning everybody was looking at their shoes and I was summoned to the managing director of the company's office. The thing had come out and nobody at work had spotted what I'd done because I'd made the words work around the pages so you never saw a whole word. But all the readers had seen it and they'd written in thinking they'd won a prize or a car or something.
  10. Ah! It's 7 days after written confirmation is received. when was yours?
  11. I thought you had 14 days to change your mind, under the distance selling laws?
  12. Indeed. I chose these three cars because they were all dyno'd at the same place. Not much I can do about the manifolds etc though.
  13. Do you have anything larger than a postage stamp?
  14. The diameter? Only by milliseconds. You'd never notice the difference.
  15. I started doing this but soon realised that unless Ian and Simon's cars are making over 600RWHP and 550rwhp respectively these figures can't be right. If they're Flywheel figures the comparison is meaningless.
  16. Sure. I'll be guessing the numbers from the graph but it should be pretty close. You don't happen to have the data in text/Excel format do you? Those are RWHP, right?

  18. Well done Greg. That's good money for a j-spec auto. TBH I didn't think you'd get the money you were after. Happy to be proved wrong though.
  19. ...but Andy's makes a shed load more power. Shame you can't have both, isn't it
  20. I knocked this up to compare three single turbo Supras that have all been Dyno'd at Marlin Motorsport. http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/8255/comparisonofsingleturboie8.png
