  1. Why not? Touch wood, mines doing alright and I'm running 1.4 every day on the bigger .96AR flavour of the GT4088. I see no reason a stock bottom end in good order shouldn't cope with the power of a GT40. If it's mapped right, obviously. I would be quite happy to run a .81AR gt4088 with PE650 injectors and the stock single feed rail, stock FPR and stock lines. In fact that's exactly what I plan to do for my next project, along with a cast manifold and a few other bits but keeping as much stock as poss - including SMIC.

  3. So there you have it Sean; the traders think you should spend thousands on a full fuel system. Odd, that I'm running a gt4088 (.96AR) with PE drop ins, 1x Walbro and an Aeromotive FPR. Everything else fuel-wise is stock and works great. The stock fuel rail is much better quality than some of the aftermarket "uprated" ones.

  6. Here we go again with the "no question" rubbish. Your "no questions"s and "FACT"s are highly subjective. Who wants heated seats in a sports car? Who wants a massive fuel tank? Who wants beige leather? Who wants soft suspension and a heavy kerbside weight? Which of things things makes a UK spec desirable to you? None of them do to me.

  8. Looking back, that would've been good because it was a good example of the typical failed crank pulley problem. One never thinks of these things at the time though. You just want your car fixed (Well, that's what I'm like anyway)
  9. I have to disagree with that, Darryl. Yours was quite different - the whole outer ring could be seen moving forwards and back but not oscillating like the one in the video above.

    a Perodua. I saw James May driving one on a repeat of Top Gear on UK G2 the other day. He reckoned it was great fun and cheap.
  11. You were right about the spec (steel turbine blades, 550cc injectors, different cam profile). Those things are facts. Stating the turbos are bigger, that they are stronger, that the UKs make more power for the same mods, that they can take more boost, isn't fact - it's just an opinion. Chris Wilson knows a bit about Supras See his comments about those super UK turbos in this thread.
  12. It's differently spec'd, no question. Whether that spec is "better" is a matter of opinion.

  14. Engine loom? Is that the main loom that connects all the engine components to the ECU? If so I have one.
  15. It's got everything. HDMI, 2x Scart, component. What's a g card? Where does it go?
  16. Please mate. Although, while searching for the answer to this I read somewhere that the PS3 can't play XviD, DivX, etc. If that's right then it's no use to me anyway.
