Bit of fun for the afternoon... Predict which other teams will be drawn in England's World Cup group at 17.45 today. One team from each Pot will be in England's group. Just to make it interesting I'll put up £10 for the person who gets the most right or £20 to a cancer charity. Winner's choice. (I was going to do a sweepstake with ½ to winner and ½ to charity but it'd be too complicated and bound to upset somebody) Rules: Only open to full members with more than 50 posts. Yay! It's fixed. Called O2, they got me to check some settings and found that the "Message Centre" was set to the wrong phone number in (Messaging > Options > Settings >Text Message > Message Centres > SIM message centre ) Thank you "vintage21275" - you were dead right.

Nah I've just discovered that I CAN send a (MMS?) message, ie a photo taken on the phone I was able send to myself OK. Still can't send texts though. Oh God, I hate calling call centres.

I had an Orange SIM when the problem started. I've since fitted an O2 SIM but still have the same problem. So I'm guessing it isn't gonna be a network provider issue, right? Co-incidentally, the problem started the day after I had an argument with Orange because I wanted web access enabled on my SIM so I could use it in my Sony Satio. They wouldn't do it 'cos I don't know the PIN for the SIM, so I told them I'd take my business to another provider once my credit had run out.

My phone, a Nokia N95 (original one not the 8gb model) has suddenly stopped sending text messages. When I try to send a text, after it going into the Outbox and showing "Sending..." it then comes up with : "Unable to send message:Fred Bloggs Text message: check network services" WTF does that mean? I've googled it and found several folks with the same problem - but I've yet to find a solution. I've reset the phone. Installed the latest firmware Fitted a SIM from another provider. Still the same problem. Is the phone borked ?

I bought a 450d for my daughter. Really nice camera, I wanted to keep it for myself. Do you really need a full blown DSLR though? I'm currently considering a a super-zoom, probably a Panasonic FZ38. Great spec, reviews and features for the price. Isn't it you that has a Panansonic 50" Viera? If so the FZ38 is compatible with the Viera functions of your TV.

I've tried most of them over the years, since 2003 when I first got TomTom. I've never found any that are as good as TomTom or as easy to use. We're gonna be getting our lad a sat nav for Christmas and the only decision is which TomTom to get. BTW, I've seen some of those £50 Medion ones, they are utter rubbish.

Indeed. Roads that I'm happy to do >NSL on usually, were 40mph max on the way home from work tonight. Not being able to see the road ahead at all beyond the reach of Dipped Beam makes safe driving at speed impossible at the mo.
