    Auto or Manual

The auto box is for an old man's car. The 6sp is more of a driver's car. It's a well known fact that the ability to press a clutch pedal and move the gear lever makes you more of man and proves that you are superior to mere auto drivers. Once you've got a manual TT remember to bang-on endlessly about track-days. For added effect, throw in phrases like "heel and toe" to really rub those auto drivers up the wrong way, the paupers!
  2. Awww, bless. Still, gotta start somewhere.
  3. I guess he's thinking you can't win against NZ so don't even try and save your better players for a game they have a chance in. When is the Scotland v Vatican City game?

    P reg

The headliner isn't leather, it's vinyl. The active spoiler on the facelift Supras is not different to the pre-facelift ones AFAIAA. I'm sure it goes on when the car was first registered abroad rather than when the car was manufactured.
  5. I guess you'll be changing that turbo for something more suited to track work, right?

    P reg

    Simple yes, accurate no.

    P reg

P reg means the car was first registered for use in uk between 01-August-1996 and 31-July-1997. R reg means the car was first registered for use in uk between 01-August-1997 and 31-July-1998. After R reg the prefix letters were changed so that a new letter was used every 6 months rather than every 12. - - - - Whoa! You gotta be fast round here these days!
  8. Shane, you're quite right mate; the fact they never told you and just hoped they'd get away with it is disgraceful. I'd be bloody livid too.
  9. I disagree about hand tools being better for not snapping studs. IME windy guns are much better at removing nuts without snapping corroded studs. Snapping studs in a common event in the exhaust game. any half decent place should be tooled up and prepared to drill out and retap for a new stud. It's not brain surgery.
  10. Hi Todd, Which version is that then? I wasn't aware TomTom had released a version that worked with integrated GPS receivers. Thanks

    More Power

OK, well no - you're just about at the limit of the stock turbos and fuel injectors (well actually you're past the limit of the stock injectors but that's another debate) 418bhp is a very respectable figure, you should be happy with that. Do you know what the power was at the wheels?
  12. No, the VVTi engine in non-interference too.
  13. That might turn out to be the most expensive 'free' thing you've ever had. I think I'd have rather paid him for the job so that you have a receipt and some come-back if/when the engine starts pissing oil. Hope it's OK for you Darren.
  14. You need to pull your finger out then Martin. I still average 0.4 posts per day more than you. It's RobSheffield I'm worried about.
  15. Actually Linda, all VVTi Supras are facelift. There's no NA VVTi though - that's probably what you're thinking of. This one couldn't be a VVTi even if it was a TT though because it's a '96 and VVTi didn't come in til late 97.
  16. Hope so mate. I might as well. I've got a nice OE replacement ready to go on. Probably for the same reason nobody likes you ; 'cos of the hideous looks.
  17. that's a shame mate. Still, more chance of me getting on the rollers now!
  18. I dunno about Pizza but I believe that Chop Suey is an American invention rather than a Chinese one, as most people probably think.
