Surely there's no 'rule of thumb' in MoT tests. It's either against the rules or isnt. AFAIK there is no rule against stick on plates.

Not because it was a stick on one. I'm sure the MOT test only checks the spacing or format(layout not font) of the chars

You're correct that they aren't road legal but wrong that they'll cause you to fail an MoT test. You can pass the MoT test just fine with a stick-on or undersized plate.

Do the wheels have the correct centre bore for the Supra hubs? If not, are you using hub centric rings? Of the right size? - - - Edit : GRRRR! Scot beat me to it.

Check the intercooler hose down between the battery and the radiator. That's the usual place they come off if running above stock boost.
