  1. Yes you are being Mr Spears At 4000rpm your engine is consuming 100 Ltrs of air per second 3.0Ltrs x (4000rpm/2) /60secs I don't think a few extra litres of intercooler capacity is going to make a noticeable difference. Do you? What make and model is this massive intercooler of yours? Maybe somebody else here has one almost as huge as yours.
  2. Betcha you'll be bored of it before the year is out. I've seen several ex-Supra owners get an Evo, rave about it for 5 mins then sell it on weeks later.
  3. "the underside is solid unlike most jap imports which are rust buckets" Twat
  4. Did you tell them about the accident you had recently? I wouldn't be surprised if it was that making your quote quite a lot.
  5. How can it be "cheap"? It's not for sale for 4k is it. If a 7day eBay auction starts for 99p do you consider that to be bargain?
  6. I've just fitted some UK glass headlights and HIDs in the dipped and main beams. Now when I turn the headlights on both the dipped and mains come on at the same time, regardless of which position the stalk is in. I've triple checked the wiring and it all looks fine. Any ideas?

I've done it. It was alright really. On the motorway I was over/undertaking people in 4x4 just like usual. The only problem I had was getting moving again after after coming to stop when I'd left the motorway. The car was going sideways rather than forwards but I think that was because my auto doesn't have an LSD and was just spinning one wheel. No LSD/torsen diff?
  11. Chipping the slag off the inside walls of an aluminium smelting furnace with a hammer and chisel. It was physically hard work. It was bloody hot because furnaces are very well insulated and take days to cool down but the downtime is losing a lot of money so you have to get in there ASAP. There's very little room to move. You can't stand up. It's about the size of the interior of a small car but with brick hard very rough surfaces. But the worst thine was the constant fear someone will forget you're in there, shut the door and fire it up.
  12. Thats an old video, they've all been replaced with Polish people that will do it for cheaper now.

  14. Why are you scared of flying then? You seem like a sensible guy usually, you must know that fear of flying is not logical. Do you know anyone that has been in a plane crash? Do you know anyone that knows anyone that's been in a plane crash? No, me neither. Can't you just man-up and pull yourself together?

£14 is dear. I've never paid more than £2 each for BCPR7ES

Huh? I've been using exactly those plugs for the last 3 years: both on my BPU and Single Turbo. They are copper and they're fine.
  17. Just go to your doctor and get some vallium or similar. That's what my sister did. He gave her loads of them. I took some of them too, just to see what it was like but they didn't seem to do anything as far as I could tell, but then flying doesn't bother me anyway.
  18. Bubble bath? I thought the only males that used bb were small children or flamboyant homosexuals? It's one of those pointless things I just don't 'get'. Seriously, what does bubble bath do and why would you want it? For the heterosexual guys: I have the same question in regards to aftershave : why? ...and jewellery. OK I can understand maybe a wedding ring or something but some people buy jewellery for themselves for no apparent reason at all. What's that about?
  19. Yes, very good. There was a postal strike on at the time. Nobody had seen a postman for ages, then somebody posts a "look at this car!" pic and right there behind the car happened to be a postie!
  20. The best ever was Ian C's: "I see you've taken steps to cover the engine"
  21. That's it? Oooo my ribs.
  22. Ah yes, I was forgetting it doesn't have a full compliment of cylinders. Nothing to see here. Move along.

  24. Yeah but if it's moving less air into a container of the same size (the cylinders) then wouldn't it be making less pressure (boost)? Seems logical to me anyway. A turbo surely can't flow more air into the size same container unless the air is at a higher pressure - can it?
