It's a con. A guy in my local was selling them, I paid him my £25, he went to get the item from his car and I never saw him again.

A few weeks ago I had a Scotch Egg and there was a big bit of eyelid in it. I was very nearly sick. It didn't seem to bother our dog though.

If the cost of mapping the VVTi worries you then just don't use it. If the (in the scheme of things) small cost of getting the VVTi mapped is a deal breaker then modding Supras probably isn't for you. Why restrict yourself to older model Supras for the sake of say £200-£300 extra mapping fees?

Lots of NA Supras were fitted with 225/50/16 tyres front and rear from new - so you'd have no problem at all with 235/45/17

Not since I knocked her teeth out I recently changed from 255/35/18 on the front to 235/40/18 and honestly the handling is way better.

Dee Ireland's does more than that. Does 8000rpm in 5th = 199mph though? I'm guessing it's a little less than that.

Care to share your experiences? I haven't ridden a modern superbike for some time. My poor old FireBlade has sat unused in the garage for the last 3 years

Your tyres are are too wide. Try fitting 235 front and 255 rears and you'll find the steering and handling much better. Bigger isn't always better, you know.

They're not all cast, are they Chris? I was sure at least some (most?) of the aftermarket ones are just plain steel.

I was gutted when I was made redundant in 2005, after 16 years with the same company. But after taking a year off (and living off my redundancy payout) I got a contract job for almost double what I was on before. Anyway, what I'm saying is - at the time redundancy seemed like the end of the world but looking back now it was the best thing to happen to me for years. The only downside is that I have to work with Ashley Willis now.

Nobody in their right mind would remove it from a road-car Supra. The only reason anyone doesn't have ABS in a Supra road car is because the car was originally an NA which didn't have ABS in the first place. Any claims of not having it for aesthetic reasons or weight saving are BS.
