My car's had a wet look for the last few weeks and it didn't cost me anything

Ryan said he reckons it's about 580bhp but I haven't had it on a dyno since he mapped it. The SRR dyno day we were going to was scrapped at the last minute.

Huh? The car has never been to TurboFit. Ever. It had an oil fire on the dyno when the return hose leaked oil onto the exhaust manifold while being mapped at Marlin Motorsports. It was put out in seconds and did no damage. I've not had any trouble with the ECU. I had trouble getting it remapped because the company I paid to map it password protected the map so I couldn't take it anywhere else unless I had it totally remapped from scratch - which I did in the end.

When was it not running right? It's been running fine since Ryan mapped it last year.

I'm getting too old for this modified car lark. I just want a standard car, that my Mrs can drive when necessary, and that does more than 18mpg.

You know that certificate car alarms are supposed to be/have? (I forget what it's called at the mo, I'm really tired) 'Cat 1', something like that? Anyway, a TurboTimer voids the Cat 1 (or whatever it's called) classification.

The best one was when Martin "Lucifer" James forgot that he had once claimed to be an ex-cop. He had forgotten his lie but I hadn't !

I vaguely remembered him saying something about lying to his insurance company to get a cheaper price, and about his Dad's 1000bhp Escort of course. So I went searching for the post about his insurance and found several where he'd claimed to have insured his car with different firms and different amounts. And ones where he'd paid £7000 for his car, and others where he'd paid £6500 for it. It's not like the guy has made zillions of posts anyway so it didn't take long.

Oh it was in an MR2 that you were followed by the police for 8 miles at an average speed of 125mph - and then let off without even a ticket! An MR2, not a Supra at all! Well, that makes all the difference! Why didn't you say so before? How silly do I feel!
