I fitted my new heater matrix today, got the dash, carpets, seats, everything back together OK, the car starts and runs fine but there's no power to the heater/AirCon controls. I've double and triple checked everything is plugged in (those orange plugs into the back of the heater controls are a right bugger to get out, aren't they) and I've checked the fuses in the driver's side footwell. All looks OK to me. Any ideas? Also I've a problem with the speedo converter connections but I think I'll start a separate thread about that.

Nice. He's not going to be getting 500rwhp in the UK though with our fuel and more substantial equines though. Wasn't TerryS running a GT35 on his black Supra and making rather less than 500rwhp? And that's with 3000cc of course.

Well, to use your own words; that's your opinion. I happen to strongly disagree with that opinion, sorry if you don't like me doing that - but what can I do? You think so? It's way more civil on here than it used to be. It was much more interesting back then. Nowadays you can't question somebodies opinion without being called names by some carebear. "Forum". Look it up.

Yeah well, it makes me laugh how some newb who's had HIDs for 5 mins is telling us that 6000K lights are brighter than 4200K. Besides, I wasn't insulting him. It was him that called me condesending - and I didn't even point out that he can't spell condescending.

4200K. Have you tried both then? AFAIK you never see 6000K lights on new cars, do you? If they were better wouldn't manufacturers fit them? Go you.

Yes. Well, yeah, they are. I don't need pics, I already have them - and compared to 4200K they suck.

Define "Diamond White"? Sounds like a colour desc from an advert. 6000K is blueish, 4200K is whiter. (I have both but the 6000K is that embarrassing chavtastic blueish colour)

Blimey Merckx, yours has everything! The only other Supe I've seen with factory leather Recaros (no apostrophe btw ) is Ashley Willis' VVTi. Very nice they are too.

Why didn't you go for 4200K then? Seeing as they're the whitest and brightest, I mean. The only reason for going for 6000+K is because you want coloured lights, isn't it?

Just did a quick search to check Faye's car's year, ISTR it was a facelift Aero, anyway seems her's is/was a 98 aerotop - so they're out there!

I don't think you'll find a 99+ aerotop. I think they stopped making aerotops in 97 (not 100% sure)

As far as I know it's the same gearbox. I like autos but I wouldn't have another Tip. It's a gimmick and doesn't work particularly well IMO. The upchanges are OK if a bit slow, but downchanges are impossible to do smoothly like you can do with a manual. And the way it it just ignores you if you try to change down if it thinks the revs will be too high in the lower gear if bloody annoying. The worst thing though is the fault MPH converted Tips all have which makes it change down to 3rd gear at WOT even if you're doing 150mph at the time.
