Ok thanks mate, I'll have a look....
-
So you did! Apologies... Glasses back on... Great, I'll get that taken off..... :-D
-
Ah bugger, really? What mods??? I haven't started the car yet...
-
Guys Just changing these over so though I'd take a pic simply for reference.... I'm guessing it's a straight swop so here goes... Cheers Mark.

Guys New know fitted but it looks weird with the gator. I'm guessing I'm missing something to hold the gator in place? I've just had a manual conversion done and I was raped a few parts... :-D
-
Oh and don't say it cools the rad as thats too obvious :-P....

Have you seen the price of the cw smic Logie, I could buy two srd fmic kits for that lol.... I did look into them though... :-) SPG - So to confirm I can completely remove the office fan? What the hell does it actually do?? I don't have the power steering pipe relocation covered.... Is there a write up or a kit to do this? Moving the horn is cool, no worries there.... Any suggestions though on a good place? I'll see what else I can find out about this canister too? Odd looking thing... Re. Aircon, it easy to stand here on my driveway in the cold and say let's just rip it out, but sat on the m1 car park at 30 degrees might make me feel differently towards it lol I don't mind cutting the underway.... The only thing I will invest in is some mesh to protect the fmic. My smic is totally battered and a few 2nd hand fmics on here for sale are not in the greatest condition... If I'm gonna do this right, might as well do it first time..... Thanks for the help to date guys....
-
Hmm ok well it's the srd kit.... I presume that'll fit ok then? Re fmic vs smic, future plans are 5-600 so a fmic seems the way forward.... :-D

Guys Just been under the car so that I can rejoin the standard boost pipes and whilst down there, noticed that I have two radiators and loads of other sh1t in the way for a fmic. I'm guessing the rads are for the cooling system and aircon. There's the horn down there, some weird wavy metal tube thing that looks like a kettle element, a black sensor pointing towards the direction the car is going in and a weird black canister. Oh and what looks like an office fan lol. How the heck am I gonna get a fmic in there? Pmsl.... And what is all that crap?
-
Yeah there is that. Seems a bloody cheap way to get a 6sp box though that's almost new...

Guys What would this cost to ship to the UK and would I have too pay any customs charges (import tax or whatever they call it) on 'used' items? http://www.thesupraforums.com/showthread.php?t=38401 Cheers Mark

Just checked guys and yup, the rubber intercooler pipe going down past the battery has come apart. How the hell am I getting down there? Lol

Guys Finally gone BPU and it does feel great however 1st and 2nd are a waste of time as the wheels just spin up......! Good fun snaking though Anyways, hit an issue tonight. Was snaking in 2nd at 101kpa with the wheels lit up and the slip control light came on the dash and stayed on. After that, boost wouldn't go above 0kpa? Almost as though it'd gone into limp home mode? When I pressed the slip control button the light when off and turned slip control off light on, but the boost stayed the same. Stopped the car, didnt take the key out the ignition but restarted the car and it still wouldn't boost? I've not checked for any loose pipes yet as it's dark but any ideas? Cheers Mark.

Job done, there was a massive jubilee clip around the plastic nut on the fuel pump so I guess some work has been done there also. Regardless, its now been changed for a Walbro....
-
When is that mate? Just test drove the car and its fantastic. The grip just isn't there though and the 'slip control' definately helped me out! Roll on the dry weather... I'm running at 100kpa which is about right on stock twins isn't it?

Is a Fmic not more effective Johnny? Will prob go single at some point....

Guys Just fitting my clear front indicators and thought I'd take a look at the intercooler. I don't think I've ever seen one in such bad condition. Your thoughts? I finished fitting the Waldron fuel pump this morning so I am now fully BPU. One of the prerequisites is that your intercooler is in good condition to lower the air temperature. I'm now worried about giving the car some beans once I've setup the evc V........!
-
Ok thanks for letting me know swampy, I thought as much. I'd already resigned myself to stripping the pump out as soon as its light!
-
Guys I've just fitted my EVC V boost controller and I'm all ready to drive the car with the BPU mods complete, apart from the fuel pump. The car is a Jap TT and I do have a fuel pump (uprated) from a member on here however I haven't bothered to change the pump just yet as the car has had some work done on it before my ownership. A very weird type of FCD was fitted so I haven't fitted the HKS FCD that I have. To cut a long story short, is there anyway to check what type of pump I have without taking it out? Or a way of finding out if it's fit for BPU? I understand that if the fuel pump is not fit for purpose, I wont have sufficient fuel at high boost and this could cause big issues? Is this right? If I have to take the pump out, is there an easy way of telling what type of pump it is? I have found a fantastic removal guide on here so I am ready to get cracking if necessary! Thanks for any help. Cheers Mark.

Hi Purity Where did you buy the TPMS from? Cheers Mark.
-
Thanks again Pedro, you're a star! Oh and by the way, the clutch springs were knackered and the Stage 4 Competition Clutch is spot on.....seems 'juddery' right now but I'm sure that'll settle down once it beds it.....

The car is a TT with a single lone piece for the decat. The 'probe' that is already in place in the exhaust, thinking about it, is completely different by design to the actual lambda sensor from the AEM AFR unit, so that all makes sense now. I purchased the AEM AFR 2nd hand so there was no bung with it. I'll do a search but do you know where I can purchase one from? Thanks again....
-
Thanks Pedro....that's easy enough to do then....

Just to add a question to this old thread. I'm about to attempt the install tomorrow of my AEM AFR Gauge which I believe is the same as the AEM wideband; if not please correct me! Am I right in saying the lambda (spelt correctly??) sensor just goes into the downpipe? My car is decatted. What happens to the existing Lambda sensor and the loom when you disconnect it? There are also 4 wires coming from the back of the AFR gauge; one for live, one for earth and then two others. What are they for??
