  1. That might be. But 7.5 amp sounds small. The wire ia at least 2.5mm2 Edit: but is is supposed to have constant power from battery? Not the trigger, the fat one.
  2. Hello there. Can anyone tell me how to starter is wired? I have bought a Project that hasent been started yet, and it seems the starter is Connected directly from the alternator, With Heavy gauge wire. Is that right`? The trigger cable is not hooked up, but I will hook up a relay. What amp rating should it be? and the fuse?
  3. Hello there. I have a supra racecar without the stock cluster. Where can I get the signal to a tachometer? Its a standard elcheapo autogauge(?)
  4. thanks. but not that one im after. I found a more function specific guide once. it had a explenation of each pinout. ex: pin5 engine malfunction light. sends ground signal when fault is detected. and so on.
  5. U afraid to try? Yes, you can use it!
  6. I remember finding a overview of the functions of each pin on 2jzgte ecu. It said what each pin did, and at what volt rating etc. Cant find it anymore. Does anybody have it?
  7. Not really made up my mind. Just looking for someone with experience with something simular. I will be running the twins this year anyway, so now rush. Does anyone know what octane 2jzgte is supposed to run on from the factory?
  8. Dont know about them being verified. But 600whp on safc, which advances timing. And my possible 500whp, with stock ignition curve. But it might not be that easy.
  9. The mapecu2 has timing control. My only reason to go with piggyback over standalone, is that I would prefer to tune myself. Because of travel distance to tuner. And I thought since people say that the 2jzgte jdm timing is really conservative, one would get away with only fuel trim for larger injectors. Also since people are making 600whp on afc, which ADVANCES timing. It thought it would be safe to do it on a mapecu2, since it can leave the timing as it is. What fuel is it the jdm 2jzgte is supposed to run on anyway? We have 98 (ron?) Here.
  10. Is there any scientific way to tune timing, without knock control? Do egt give any feedback on timing?
  11. Edit: Eh mixed up post. And chris and kris s.
  12. How come? With piggyback you have control over fuel and timing. Chris: no, thats a boost controller.
  13. Looks like some get det, and some doesnt. I have seen someone running stock ecu, with driftmotion single. Without issue. And other people have tuned with safc, which will advance timing over stock. But still no detonation. How much to come to northern norway ryang?
  14. Hello there. I have a supra that I want to convert to single. Planned mods. Twin fuel pump, 600-800 injectors, FPR, stock engine, with driftmotion or fsr singel kit. I was thinking about tuning it with mapecu2. Nearest tuner is 500km away. Will it be ok to run say 1.3 bar boost on stock timing curve? I think I can get the fueling right with a wideband. But the timing is concerning me. I know I Can control tuning with the mapecu2, but just wondering if stock timing is ok. Powergoal is about 500whp. Thanks for replies! Anyone done something similar?
  15. Hello there. I bought a 93 supra tt 6 speed a while ago. It will be a trackcar only. Problem is it had only the engine harness+ upper and lower fusebox plugs, and orange, grey and white plug. The rest is missing. I already set up a switch panel, just wiring to be done. I have found the wires for: Starter, 3 pins on ecu that need 12v, 12v for coilpacks and injectors? Fuelpump run straight of a relay. Is there anything else? Speed sensor on the gearbox is also missing. Is it necessary to have that? Will it affect the ecu? Hoping someone can answer. Thanks in advance!
