Evening. I love the sound of my car but if I'm going on longer trips, it is simply a pain tbh. Any of you who have experience with the so called electric silencer. I know there are many different variants. I would like to be able to control myself how loud it should be. I would like to avoid changing exhaust as I don't want to loose any power when I am "racing" I am driving with a Boostlogic 4" downpipe, O2Racing handmade 4" exhaust with Whifbitz muffler/silencer (or whatever it is called).

Thanks guys. A friend of mine who has more experince with this than me will drop by my garage tomorrow and check it out. It is a short shifter yes. No it is not difficult to change gears at high rpm. I am planning to change the clutch anyway next winter (imo the Exedy really sucks) but would be nice if it could hold this summer I guess that the bushes is something that I easily can check also. Thanks again, will keep you posted.

Its an Exedy twin plate. No it does not crunch at all. It feels like the transmission is doing some sort of lock-out. I can put it in reverse but it takes some presure on the shifter to do so. I bought the car three years ago, and as far as I remember it has done like this all the time. What does it take for me to remove the dragging (if that's the problem). Is it "just" a matter of disasamble the clutch and put it all back together, or will it be easy for me to see the problem once the clutch is off
-
Okay guys. So i have checked the four bolts underneath the car and they are not loose, i have also checked if the slave cylinder is leaking which it doesn't. The main cylinder looks okay too and are not missing any oil. I had a go with the shifter without the engine on and it shifts smoothly. Not sure if it counts when the engine is off? I have read somewhere that you can actually test if your clutch is draggin by turning the engine on and put it in first gear and hold the clutch to the floor while rev. If the wheels start spining the clutch is dragging. I think I will try and run that test

Thanks Matt I will check that out. Can you in the meantime answer me if it is accessable without stripping the "whole" underside of the car.

Oil change has been tried without luck :-/

Evening. Am I the only one having trouble getting it in reverse? I found out if I put it in 4th first and then into reverse, it goes smoothly. Mgrene

After reading this thread and other similar threads, I will also like to chip in. I have now been the happy owner of a Supra for 3 years and one thing I have learned, is not how you respond to those so called haters, I believe it is more about how you as a Supra owner accept that you have something that is a bit unusual and special, and haters is just a part of that. I come from a society where being different is equal to being a prick (literally). Therefore, by time, I have learned to be more humble about my successes incl. my car. I don't mind talking about my car but I never mention it unless somebody directly ask me. The car is my hobby and passion and it should not be a matter of what other thinks. I don't know how it is in UK but in Denmark, it is unfortunately all about how other see you. What kind of clothes you are wearing, what is the brand of your sunglasses and at which restaurant do you normally eat. Everything has become so god damn superficial nowadays. And if you don't follow the flow, you will be stamped. And I am sorry to say this, but I got the impression that the majority of the members on this page are more busy looking after people to see if they look after you while driving the Supra. And when you receive some negative feedback from the average citizen, then you feel the necessity to create a thread in here to boost your self-esteem again. I admire people who have success but don't feel the necessity to mention it. The same goes with cars. Accept that you have something different and accept that some envy you. Deal with it instead of feeling the necessity to rack those people down. I am also that typical hater when I see a guy with a super-car who thinks he's better than other because he drives an unusual car. These kinds of discussions are always funny and I don't expect any of you to agree with me. Please don't kill me!

Evening Forum. I have recently assembled my car after an interior overhaul. Unfortunately I must have removed/forgotten to connect a wire somewhere. The problem is that the below things doesn't work now. I assume they are connected to each other somehow? - Rear licenseplate light. - Driver door side detector. When door is open it doesn't send signal to the warning ligt in the car. - Light don't come on around the area where the key is to be plugged when driver door is open. I have now spent three hours trying to locate what is wrong. I guess it is about time to find a diagram to track down how these things are connected. The only thing behind the dash that isn't connected is the light to the cigarette igniter. Could this be the problem?

Evening. Anybody who know where to buy radio bracket for Supra. I have now searched for more than two hours without luck :-( Help please.

Evening Forum. I have now searched for a decent bracket and/or battery box for the above mentioned battery, but can't seem to find one Any suggestions? The battery will be placed in the boot. Thanks.

I'm also running around 8 bar on cold start. Just changed my gauge, will check again in two weeks time if it reads the same.

Actually, even though the car is pretty low there is not much negative camber (if you ask me), ergo the loss of traction is minimum. But maybe I have the above opinion because I haven't tried or compared my set-up with other set-up's Well I guess its the same with all cars. When you chose something, you always deslect something else. I guess this is what they have done with the MKIV and the rear camber. Anyway, you will be the first to know when I get myself some new coilovers. Then hopefully you will not stay awake at night any longer [emoji106][emoji3]

One thing is for sure, you are always honest [emoji6] I know that this coilover kit is not preferable, but it was installed when I bought the car and since I do not have 1500,- quid to throw after a new kit, I might as well get the best out of it. For your information I'm running 25/315 tyres (rear) so I guess I'm running with the perfect death trap [emoji2] But again, this is a car with 630 bhp so rather a bit rough ride than a "hover" feeling when I pass the 100 mph mark.

Okay I see. I thought the top mount was supposed to be fitted on the other side of the engine bay [emoji16] Correct, the top part of the silver bit is damper adjustment. Guess the only question left is the part about the preload.
-
Hi Guys/Girls. After seeing several movies on the net and read several pages about coilovers bla. bla. I now have a few questions about mines: 1) I am wondering if mine are missing top mounts? There is only this black piece mounted between the top of the coilover and the strut bar? 2) And what about in the rear, are the top mounts also missing or? 3) As far as I'm concerned, the model is Tein Super Street, but shouldn't it be possible to adjust the preload? As you can see from the pictures, there are only two adjustable collars (I think they are called) ? So does this mean that I can only adjust height and not preload ?

But the sound of that Ferrari [emoji15]
