  1. I absolutely love these headlights! Are they aftermarket ones or have they just tinted them? What's everyone else's thoughts on them?
  2. Right so I've reset the ecu, no faults have come up but the idling problem has settled down a little bit, instead of it idling at 1.5/2k it's not just above 1k, but it slowly descends from 1.5k to 1k. I shall upload a video of it doing it tomorrow.

  4. The only thing with disconnecting my battery, would I then have any issues with my alarm?
  5. No I haven't, nothing has come up on the dash. I've altered the TPS it slowed it down but not enough and then it just went back to normal. I'm tempted to try replacing the TPS sensor and seeing if that does anything
  6. Well I bought the car like this, the throttle cable was slack and that is what he blamed it on. So I adjusted the cable but the high idle continued. Also I've found that when I rev the car when idling the idling will drop slightly and then tick over a little bit slower.
  7. I've cleaned it, but it looks brand new? Any other ideas?
  8. hi, i have a small problem and that is my NA supra is idling too fast. if i rev it a little when its cold and then let it tick over again it ticks over at 2.5k but surges quite badly like it drops to around 1k then revs back up to around 2-2.5k. when they car is warm the car ticks over between 1.5k - 2k. when i turn the engine off and restart it it ticks over at normal rpm around 800-900rpm but then when i start driving it goes back to idling fast, what could this be its extremely annoying!! (P.S i hope you guys could understand my write up haha)

  11. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place. I'm looking into getting an NA-TT conversion i was just wondering how much it would cost to buy everything i need: engine, loom, ecu, all pumps etc?
  12. can somebody post a photo of the hoses and sensors that connect to the inlet plenum on an na supra please, i want to make sure i have connected all hoses up correctly. these hoses are located to the firewall side of the plenum. thank you

  15. No I haven't had time I don't finish work till 5:30pm it will be at weekend I think. Is it a hassle dropping a GTE into an N/A?
  16. what would be involved converting to a TT?
  17. i can imagine that rebuilding the damaged parts on my na would be cheaper than dropping a GTE in there?
  18. I will have a look at the crank pulley but it did sound as if a valve dropped into the cylinder. Does anybody know how much pistons, valves and maybe the cylinder head would cost from dealership?
  19. No the power steering was fine and there was no sound of any belts slipping, it started by misfiring every now and again the all of a sudden all power was gone
  20. Yeah all fluid levels are closely watched so nothing has ever run low. If the crank pulley was to go would it of make a banging noise as if something was bouncing about in the block? If it is the crank pulley would the engine be a rebuild or could you simply replace the pulley or would I be looking at a new crankshaft?
  21. Around 70k miles. Yeah well that's the thing I've rarely taken it into the "high" rpm range. That's what I don't understand
  22. Well it wasn't too far away from my house where it started to happen 2 miles maybe a little more, what could it be? I will be removing the head tomorrow and taking a closer look. I'm more annoyed by the that I've only owned the thing 2 months if that!

Coming home tonight steady away and the car starts misfiring so as I'm trying to find a place to pull over it gets a lot worse, it starts banging as if something is smacking about inside the block then it starts only running on 5 pistons maybe less? What could this be? It ticks over with a very loud tap I'm very worried could I of drop a valve? Plus I had to choice as to drive her home
