Sounds like a lot! Can pickup complete NA engine for that, I sold my fully working used NA alt for £30.
  2. Damm, my tyres are still too big....
  3. Whoops, I meant 315's.... Which are still too big... Alas, if its ok for a 911 Turbo it's fine for me...
  4. I run 335's on my 10J's, maybe I am 'shrunk' because my tyres are to big for the wheels...
  5. Good on you for warning people mate, but that's life with Copart, you HAVE to look at the cars in the flesh! Or refuse the car and pay £££.
  6. Hi Tim, I have a Spec Super Twin, one of the best they do for the Supra, great feel with the 3/4" upgrade and slip able. However, very noisy... Sounds like the bottom end is about to fall out on less that 900RPM idle.
  7. 5/8 Chap! Have a read: http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/tech-conversions/78805-how-make-3-4-jza80-clutch-master-cylinder.html
  8. I had the same issues with regard to the pedal height. I fitted a 3/4 master cylinder and its now 10x better!
  9. Sounds great Keith, but i would feel sooo embarrassed doing that....
  10. You can keep it if you like, just make sure you dwell settings etc are correct. Although really its just a bandage, get some better coils if you want to run a decent gap. Mojo's for example.
  11. Just gets a bit embarrassing when you get 'mate that sounds awesome, let's have a look at the huge turbo you must have on it to get that noise' 'Well you see' ...
  12. Must admit, apart from some initial issues, i have been happy with my Spec Super Twin.
  13. Make sure you measure each piston and number them. Then bore per cylinder, there will be some size difference between pistons.
  14. Speak to Sam at TDI mate, I am sure he can help you.
  15. I spent a good 15 minutes cringing muscles i didn't no i had reading this thread....
  16. Ahh, you go with that school of thought? I must admit I was thinking of leaving the boost at say 5PSI to run it in then up it. I guess by running it in hard at least you know sooner rather than later if it's going to pop...
  17. Thanks Tim, I did think it was measuring error to be honest. Just waiting for the missing set of piston locks to arrive then I can get the head back on! Slightly worried about all these FMS leaks I am reading about but I am thinking with a brand new pump if should be fine. It's hard to combat against issues when no one knows 100% what causes them! - - - Updated - - - Oh, Tim do you have an engine dyno? How much for a run in cycle? Thanks Adam
  18. You NEED a FPR as that is what sets and adjusts the rail pressure depending on boost/vac.
