  1. Best picture of mine, really brings out the angles...
  2. They are thicker, my UK was 22mm vs J Spec 19mm
  3. Just wondering if there's been any movement on this? I am torn between rebuilding and buying new. Make me interested party No.6
  4. I bow to greater knowledge!
  5. Found some pics, full build thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?295119-Slutter-s-800HP-Forged-Motor-Build!-%28Update-Page-4!-6-10-13%29 Plasti-gauge strips in to check oil clearnces: Redline assembly lube and ARP Molly grease
  6. Not sure as i made a custom flange and drain but i imagine that is to small with regard to the bolt spacing.
  7. This, i did both on my engine and found the Plastiguage accurate. Make sure you use a good assembly lube like Redline.
  8. I will get some pics of mine and explain
  9. Great thread, however your oil cooler is massively undersized i am running a 60 row. Far more important is the oil filter! You are running the risk of the lines and possibly the filter draining out by being above the sump. I would check it on an oil pressure gauge asap!
  10. I would stick with Aeroquip, at least you know they have met a very high standard. That was all I used for both fuel and oil:
  11. Apart from the 306 Diesel in front of you.....
  12. Where abouts in Lincs are you? I have a Single 6 speed that I could take you for a ride in.
  13. That was on there a few months ago! Someones brought it and realised how much was missing and are now trying to move it on.
  14. To be fair, the car is labelled as having mechanical damage with secondary damage being it has been stripped. Also Copart say: Since this vehicle is being sold "AS IS - WHERE IS", it means that the purchaser is buying it "with all faults" and without any warranty or guarantee of any type, express or implied. Any information regarding this vehicle provided by the Seller or Copart is for convenience only. It is your sole responsibility to ascertain, confirm, research, inspect, and investigate a vehicle and any information regarding such vehicle prior to bidding on it. If you want to buy from Copart, you NEED to look at it, anyone who has brought from there and got caught out will say the same.
  15. Unless you want to spend the time ducting it like I did: I would keep the stock setup, or look for a CW SMIC.
  16. I was under the impression the meth attacks the stock tank/line's? I prefer a separate tank and injector personally, with a boost operated switch. That way it can be mapped exactly right as the conditions are always the same. Not sure how it works if you add it to the tank but surely the % of meth is never the same leading to slight differences in the mapping?
  17. I run meth, the nozzle is after the intercooler, tank is in the back and the pump is welded to a plate on the inner on the drivers side. Activates a 1 bar,
  18. When it had the stock bottom end it went pop due to the mapping. It is now running a forged motor as per the build thread. With the cast manifold i am at the limit of what it can achive power wise. I need to go to tubular if i want more power. But to be honest, 600 odd is terrifying!
  19. Hi guys Thanks for all the nice comments. To answer a few questions: Mapping has been finished, made a touch over 600BHP, was mapped at TDI South by Sam on there hub dyno. Number plate is going to be moved to the bumper at some point, there was a chip on the bonnet and the numberplate was a quick way to hide it. Crank pully is a lightweight aluminum one that was balanced with the engine. The inserts in the bumper is the ducting i made for the twin oil coolers and air filter duct. The mesh is to protect the oil cooler.
  20. Cheers mate, that's a kind offer. I used a 1/2NPT thread, its such a large thread it easily seals, you get a good 3/4 thread's but as the fitting is so large it's got a large surface area. I used threadlock also, i have no leaks at all so far!
  21. Hi guys! Following on from my project thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?295119-Slutter-s-800HP-Forged-Motor-Build!-%28Update-Page-4!-6-10-13%29/page4 The car is now finished!
  22. Who re-built it as the synco's in 4th and 5th on mine are on the way out.
