  1. Well bad news on my part, clutch seems to not be disengaging properly, going to collect the car tonight get the issue sorted and then take it back to have the final setup done. Set to 1.3 bar at the moment.
  2. Both look great, David, you need just 1 or 2 more gauges....
  3. You can also get your shims ground down if needs be. Got 12 of mine ground down when i upgraded the cams, cost me £50.
  4. Do it! Hate loads of gauges, i will pop a picture up of my setup when it returns from setting up. I just have a laptop and a monitor displaying from my AEM ECU looks much neater.
  5. With that in mind, we will call it off. Thanks for that, saved a lot of possible aggravation!
  6. Hi guys Been looking for a good quality CF dash kit for some time, i found this link: http://kadean.en.alibaba.com/product/640428501-214406758/SUPRA_MKIV_RHD_CARBON_INTERIOR_TRIM_DASH_GEAR_RADIO_CLUSTER_TRIM_COVER_13PCS.html Was about to email them and figured i would ask if there was any interest on here? Or has anyone used them? I can set up a group buy if theres a good level of interest. Looking for a minimum of 5.
  7. Mapping the low boost on the road, then taking it to Milton Keynes to load up the power. I was under the impression the Rotary set some kind of record in europe? I swear i read that somewhere?
  8. Well guys, dropped the Sup of this morning! Will let you know when i know anything! He helped fix the damm trailer to, bloody tilt handle broke, the Supra's a heavy old girl...
  9. Big day tomorrow! Car is going away for mapping! I put this thread up so i can keep you guys updated with how the mapping goes, and to give some of you other AEM ECU users an alternative, or just a more local person if your in Lincs. I have read quite a lot about Martin's work and i am sure he will do me proud! The Skyline forum ( ) seem to like his work... Spec is: - UK Spec 6 Speed - AEM V1 30-1100 ECU - HKS DLI - AEM Boost control and sensors - Precision 1000CC Injectors - HKS Fuel Rail - 6AN Aeroquip feed/return - Walbro 450L Pump - Aeromotive FPR - Cast T4 Manifold - Holset HX52 with billet wheel - Precision External wastegate with 10PSI spring - 4" DP to 3" for the rest of the system - GSC Stage 1 269* Cams - Brain Crower Titanium retainers and single up-rated valve springs - Whifbitz Adjustable cam pulleys - Whifbitz Billet timing belt tensioner - New Toyota T belt and tensioner/idle - Ducted 3" Intercooler - Spec Twin plate clutch Hoping she comes back with 650-700HP! Will keep this update as we go!
  10. Oh no, another sheep..... I also added a new alloy flywheel and twin plate that's lighter than stock. I don't see how changing the weight on the crank at one end vs the other will make any difference. I am willing to test this for you guys, i don't mind being a test dummy!
  11. Sure we will bump into each other and i will take you for a spin.
  12. New bling pulleys ready for there new home Stock tensioner Vs Whifbitz Billet Fitted Whifbitz Cam pulleys New OEM belt on Shiny! All back together! Right that’s about it! Next up is to send the car away to Martin at MB Automotive to map the AEM for a setup and to see what numbers we can get! Will start a new thread with the info for that. Thanks for reading!
  13. Love this pic! Right next up I had some bad news, it seemed that the stock cams although UK spec would start holding the car back over 500HP so I bit the bullet and got: GSC S1 Inlet and Exhaust Cams Brian Crower Single springs and titanium retainers Whifbitz Alloy adjustable cam pulleys Whifbitz Billet tensioner (The GSC’s make it an interference engine) Alloy crank, Power Steering, Alt and water pump pulleys (Just for Dan.) Big warning for those thinking of going for the GCS S1’s! The valve springs bind up! They need changing to uprated ones! So all that work and I had to take it back apart Stock crank pulley off, took ages as no one greased it… Cam covers off New cams! New cams in After test fitting I measured up my cams and worked out the shim sizes needed! Thanks to dan for the awesome spreadsheet! Remvoing the old valve springs using the rope in cylinder method OEM Vs BC Swapping them out Big pile of old OEM ones if anyone wants them! Sent my shims away for re-grinding down to the correct sizes! All back in
  14. Hi guys! Update time! Been a hectic few weeks but now it is nearly there! Got my copy OEM sideskirts/rear spats and front splitter painted and fitted Old of New on! Rear spats The car was now finished! Got my big K&N etc fitted Nice parcel! Expensive load…. And Now I could start the car, I found that the Spec twin plate did not fully disengage… So I brought a ¾ Master and upgraded from the stock 5/8 I also made an adapter to convert the Tilton to the stock bolt pattern New braided line to replace the soild line and all the joints New line made and covered with slevee to protect other items from rubbing Also got my water neck welded up And my new (used) wheels and tyres turned up! 315/30/18’s on the back and 295/30/18’s on the front
  15. Right the connections in pic 4, leave them all unplugged, if your running AEM you can use the blue plug as boost control, if not leave it unplugged.
  16. Yes mate, that's correct, however when you lift of the throttle and it releases the excess, your turbo charger than has to refill the pipes to positive pressure. This, with 3" pipes will take longer.
  17. That will be fine mate. Won't make any difference at that level, maybe take slightly long to build boost on the 3".
  18. I went for 4 inch downpipe into 3 inch for the rest. The gases only need to expand, in the downpipe once they are in the mid/rear section they begin to contract so they do not need the 4". Just going on what a friend of mine told me and the fact the there's a few 750HP cars on a 3 inch system. I think the big thing is making sure you don't have compression bends as these further reduce the pipe size. Anyway, heres mine: You can see the bottom where it goes to 3 inch here: Mid pipe 2.5 inch compression bend vs man 3 inch with added flexi and one final showing off picture
  19. You brought one of those cheap chiense FPR's? I would change that mate I fitted a Aeromotive one as you know your getting a good product. Remember mate, if that goes wrong thats high pressure fuel spraying into your engine, or running lean and melting something. Just read this! http://www.theturboforums.com/threads/306142-So-I-got-my-eBay-FPR-BOV-Intercooler-and-Wastegate-time-to-dissect
