Yes mine is an RZ-S as well , I think - or an SZ. Will need to check if I have dual throttle cables but from memory I dont think I have. So the parts list is motor, control stalk, ecu, wiring. Your right about the wiring. That will be a mission - may give it to a specialist on the forum to do...

Has anyone done this. Just found out today my Supra is built sometime between 1996 and 1998 and is an SZ or RZ-S with no cruise. It would be great to have this.

Sorry in advance for the dumb question but essentially this is a standard turbo with much improved internals thats on ebay. The usual path is upgrading to greddys or borg etc ? Right??

I have been in a position where I have sold a good car only to regret it later. Residuals for Supras are strong so the opportunity cost of depreciation is much mitigated.

I would think the Mk5 would be priced to compete with the GTR. I can also imagine that initial depreciation will be high which will make it more affordable years down the line. GTRs now can be had for £30k. Another 3 years I say it will be knocking on £20k. And for those that still cant afford it at least ONE day they will be albeit several years down the line. As for fuel consumption there will never be a solution to cheap fast motoring based on a combustion engine.

To be honest I am not a big fan of Castle Coombe. I have seen too many cars hit the tyre walls and the track is too short. There are many other UK tracks that test camber, altitude changes, hills and slopes skills with the all important run off when you think your Schuy but your not

When my daily runabout a Merc w211 270 cdi started dripping coolant in the passenger footwell I baulked at the possible cost to replace the heater matrix or the associated pipework. I then came across some coolant stop leak from Euro Crap Parts for several quid. All I can say is this stuff worked a treat !!! Heating works fine and no more leak. If your coolant system has a leak causing the air lock this is a must try solution.

This pic however would be a fitting tribute to this great car: Im sure this car would be enormously beneficial for residuals of Mk4 Supras as well. Especially if this car is Toyotas showcase of the most advance powerful sports car it makes, which there is no reason it should not be!

Im fairly sure that when I had my Clifford Concept in my Corrado many years ago there is a backup battery in alarm unit. However disconnecting the battery may trigger the alarm. A way around it would be to connect a car battery from another car to the terminals in the Supra and then remove the Supra battery. Bit tricky but then at least the other car is supporting all the alarm functions while you charge it up. Low trickle charge can take up to 6 hours (4amps) . High speed up to 2 hours. This is based on the size of the battery I have taken out from mine just today with no charge. Just hope it hasnt lost its memory and beyond the useful life.

Can someone advise about whether the battery in my Supra will do or I should look for another. The standard battery spec according to a battery on line buying site is CCA 500 (kick over power) Amphere hours 60 (constant power) The one I have is 540 and 55 . CCA is fine but the Amphere hours is less. Does this mean the alternator will have to work harder or is it splitting hairs and the battery will do? Cheers
