  2. Hi, My car keeps leaking water from the header tank drain off pipe after a journey (can actually see the water coming out). The header tank when checked is then empty and the radiator runs a little bit low. I've changed the radiator cap and can't see any obvious signs of a leak from the radiator or surrounding pipe work. There's no signs of head gasket problems and have had a recent compression test which showed very good compression. On very hot days the temperature rises slightly above the centre on the temp gauge. On a recent drive I used 2ltrs on the journey out and nothing on the return journey. The radiator was replaced a few years ago. I thinking of changing the radiator to an alloy version to start with, as this cars an auto how difficult is it to fit the transmission fluid cooler? Cheers, Mark.
  3. Hi, Sorry Just saw your reply, been havin lots of problems with the single set up so now in with Whifbitz to go back to twins with BPU. Lovin the car though and wanted an auto, will reserve judgement until I get it running properly. Dunno how I didn't get in to supras sooner, there so easily tuned.

Bought the car with a single conversion already done with poor quality components, having loads of probs with the turbo, wastegate,dump valve etc. etc. so may have to start a single conversion from scratch also struggling to find a decent reasonably priced turbo so exploring the idea of going back to twins but may buy a single still. I'm not really chasing big power (ive done that before). My car is a K reg must be 1993 though. Are standard twins really that bad?

  7. Does anyone know if the Holset HX65 turbo is any good for a single? Or a precision 6776 I,m looking for a reasonable turbo to replace the Chinese thing which I unluckily got with my car. Will be running about 450bhp. Cheers.
  8. Thanks for the advice guys. I'm gong to book it in with FC Tuning at Ware who will connect the ECU and tune it. I just want it running safely until I can sort injectors turbo etc. It does have a Greddy electronic boost controller which is set to low boost 0.7 bar so hopefully won't over boost. Cheers
  9. Hi Guys, I'm sure you've had this question hundered of times but im a newbie and after searching previous posts I can't seem to find a definitive answer. My problem is as follows: Purchased a TT which has had a single conversion, (was previously a members car) it has a T70 turbo (which not many people like lol) running on standard injectors and was converted 4 years ago. I spoke to the previous owner who gave me some info, most surprising was that the Emanage blue was never connected. When I purchased it I was told it just needed mapping. I checked yesterday and can't see any lights illuminated on the ECU so am assuming that the ECU is not connected am I correct?. Is it possible that its running on a standard ECU...how safe is it to run on the original ECU, what problems could I experience? If I boot it lots the ECU light comes on. The previous owner said this was due to the perameters not being set following fitting of a Greddy electronic boost controller. If I decide to change the ECU what would be a good piggy back ECU I'm on a tight budget so a standalone is not a consideration at the mo. I have been told the Emange blue would be fine ( I'm not looking for big power I.e injectors route at the moment just reliability). Cheers, Mark.

  11. Hi, yeah it's an auto. BOV is leaking already and apparently they often fail coz there not up to the job. Trying to get it mapped which Is difficult with faulty components. Will use it until it fails though. Cheers.
