  1. I'll be in attendance but I've already committed with another club. It will be great to see some more Supras there though!
  2. Still my favourite car on the forum, absolutely love it and if I win the lottery then expect a message
  3. Awesome write up Matt, really enjoyed reading it and looking forward to seeing it progress (both in person and on here ) I know the windows were a sack ache but it really is the difference between a quick tidy up and a proper job.
  4. Today I dropped my RMM front lip off to be colour coded
  5. If you look closely the rubber has a crack in running around the circumference of the inner pulley. Hard to see on the picture though.
  6. Echoing some of the comments above, very sorry to see how this has ended up for you. It's easy for us to say just stick another couple of K into it etc but I understand there comes a point where you're just sick of spending.
  7. Nice looking car that mate, looks like you got a good one! Black carpets must be on the agenda!
  8. It's one less potential leak/failure. Also, following some reading from Chris W, I gather it is not entirely necessary and was fitted by Mr T primarily for the purpose of muting unwanted turbo noises (you know, those noises half the forum strive to achieve ). On the Supra it will likely still sound identical but at least I'll be confident it isn't leaking. If I change my mind I will probably buy a HKS SSQV like I had fitted on one of my previous Supras.
  9. Sounds excellent. I'm looking forward to seeing it progress!
  10. Daft question maybe, the electric fan(s) are spinning the right way aren't they?
  11. The function of the thermostat (when one is fitted I might add) is to prevent the flow of coolant to the radiator until the engine is warmed up. The purpose being to get the engine up to temperature as quickly as possible, not to cool the engine down as is the common misconception. Having no thermostat would just mean the car takes longer to get up to temperature as coolant will be flowing through the rad straight from start up.
  12. Removed a couple of bits and pieces the other day ahead of a service just to see what would need replacing. Here's my first couple of spots! Split recirc valve hose. K-nackered coil pack connector clip. What it's meant to look like. I've ordered new coil pack connector clips from SRD along with new wires as the stock wires can become brittle and the casing cracks causing a short. Link: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?298257-Coil-Pack-Clips Also, the factory recirc valve will be blanked off as per advice from this forum. P.S. Yes, that is blood on my hands from one of the bloody clips disintegrating and slicing my finger No excuse for me not wearing gloves though!
  13. Unless I'm missing something obvious or misread, the lack of thermostat won't be the cause of it overheating unfortunately.
  14. I can't remember off the top of my head but I got it at a discounted price as a good friend of mine worked at Motormania.
  15. Mine was Blueprint and came with the rear housing

    Eddie

Welcome! Looking forward to seeing pictures of the car.
  17. Beautiful car. Sorry I can't comment on the value apart from to say that someone will probably pay a premium for it based on the looks and colour alone.
  18. I had similar trouble but it replicated itself across a few channels so it's probably just a coincidence.
  19. Great news! I remember when my NA-T was first mapped, it was a feeling similar to when I got my first ever drive of a Supra They're great fun, aren't they?
  20. There is a plug on the back of the NA water pump housing that must corrode from the inside. It happened on Josh's, the water pump itself was fine but the plug had developed a hole in the center allowing coolant to leak out. Seen it a few times on here.

    Coil Pack Clips

I'll take six of these, you have PM
  22. As above, don't waste your time with a second hand one especially when TCB are selling new OEM items for £63.69 + Vat each I would probably pay the extra though and get one with the rear housing as one complete assembly as the core plug at the back of the NA water pump housings has been known to fail.
  23. Yeah I bought an Evo 9 in the end. Awesome car by all means but still wanted another Supra. The Evo was very, very good but I just didn't gel with it. Having said that, I'll no doubt buy another in the future
