  1. It's on a P plate. It's facelift but pre VVTi. The bodywork isn't shoddy at all I'm making it sound worse than it is. It's actually very good overall and better than average I would say but I'm just trying to give an accurate description.
  2. Cheers for the input thus far. It's a very nice car and would be an amazing car with some fettling. I think most if not all of the small dents would come out easily using a good paintless dent removal company (most people wouldn't bat an eyelid I doubt I'm just being a bit particular).
  3. I've been to view a Supra today which I'm keen on but unsure of what it's worth. It isn't advertised and the owner hasn't got any intentions to advertise it in the immediate future but will consider selling for a reasonable offer. - TT6, facelift, gunmetal grey - Advan wheels - Titanium exhaust - UK spec brakes - Imported through Jurgen in 2009 - HSD coilovers - Factory recaros - Black carpet - Leather headlining - Toyota multidisc cd changer - 4 good tyres - Good condition underneath - BPU upgrades inc boost controller - Stock body - Recent new OEM clutch Rear arch lips have been trimmed and the front arches rolled which I'm a bit unsure about. There are signs of paintwork on one rear quarter panel but it looks to a good standard. There is little/no service history and mileage is in the 90-100k miles region. Overall the car is in good/excellent condition although the one Recaro needs the bolster repaired and there are a few minor dents around the car (nothing I wouldn't expect for a car of this age). It seems to be a very genuine car with a great spec and I'm wondering what people would consider a fair price to offer?
  4. Mine literally drove exactly as it did when it was NA until you put your foot down and it's under load/building boost and then you take off You may lose a little bit of responsiveness but it's hardly noticeable and certainly doesn't affect the drive.
  5. Good luck with the build I've had some good results with the XS-Power stuff before now.
  6. Nice progress It's rewarding work doing it yourself at your own pace. When I had to remove my crank pulley with the engine on a stand I took the advice of a member on here, removed the sump, oil pan and then chocked the crank with a block of wood to stop it rotating and used a piece of scaffold as an extension on my breaker bar to crack the crank pulley bolt off. I had a pretty hefty engine stand though so I didn't have to worry to much about supporting the engine.
  7. Beautiful looking car you've got there. I assume the TOM's ECU is probably quite rare?
  8. Glad to hear it's coming along. If your car is the same one I think it is I was very, very tempted to buy it when it popped up on here for sale. I can't wait to get back into Supra ownership, there may even be progress made on that front this week
  9. Yeah I gather they usually take them out when they're imported or hide them like this one. Just thought it was novel
  10. Ahh, I think you have hit the nail on the head there At least any body reading this now will be sure to check.
  11. They lower the front 36mm and the rear 42mm according to the advert I've just read. I helped fit some to Josh(42)'s car and parked it side by side with mine (fitted with 40mm lowering springs all round) and his was definitely higher on the front than mine. I'm surprised that a few mm difference is noticeable but it definitely was. Maybe there are different versions of the Teins?
  12. My best find was a flare tucked behind the N/S footwell plastics.
  13. They tend to still sit quite high on the front compared to the rear from what I've seen.
  14. Looking forward to seeing the pictures once it arrives
  15. Having driven a NA auto and a NA manual back to back I'll agree with the above comments that the auto's feel really slow, and the manual actually feels a fair bit quicker. Ironically the auto I drove had dyno'd at more power than my manual yet it still felt completely gutless.
  16. I thought Rich's car had not long been fitted with a Spec Stage 3+ clutch?
  17. I paid £120 to have all the glass removed and refitted when I had mine resprayed. I used a local company and couldn't fault them although they did warn me the windscreen could crack (it didn't ) The car is looking great also
  18. Good work there and sound advice above regards the crank pulley. Contact Josh42 on here as he may well have a decent condition crank pulley for sale.
  19. I've ran the same sizes all round before and just staggered the tyres. 235/40's and 255/35's on 9.5J wheels and it was fine
