All sorted and back on the road. Was just the battery and alternator in the end

Just used this guide worked great! Only took 15 minutes. Question though, I undid the top radiator pipe and a bit of water came out. Do I need to bleed the rad now?

Yeah alternator is gone. Pulley looks fine.

Anyone got an alternator available? Mines an N/A bit sure if they're all the same? Cheers!

I reved it as well. All seems ok. Got the AA coming out now as remembered I had gone start. So they can eliminate the battery and alternator hopefully.

How long do I need to run the car for when doing the tipex test. Had it running for couple of minutes and the line still lines up.

And i'm guessing the water pump which is why i was getting over heating warning lights. I will look when i get home from work, guessing it will be easy to see as none of those belts will be moving. Does the belt on the crank pulley power the alternator and power steering pump?

Just started the car again and the revs are bouncing all over the place.

Checked the belts they seem right and in good condition. Can't find the ropes test though?

I thought of the alternator went the car would die as soon as the jump leads were dissconnected?

Before i bought the car it had been sat for a while. The previous owner said he had charged the battery as it was dead. Has worked fine fr the 2 days i've owned it. Driving today and i got a number of warning lights on the dash (ABS, Oil, CAT Heat?, big red triangle) and the power steering went. i pulled over and turned the car off. Went to restart and nothing. Managed to get a jump start and limp the car home. some of the warning lights were back on but not all of them and power steering was intermittent? I'm hoping this is all related to a dead battery but can someone please advice?

Yes we supply a lot of equipment, we also supplied the equipment for the Lab in the new Jurassic World movie. A couple of staff members also got to be in the film as they knew how the equipment worked.
