  1. Productive trip to SRD! Fan controller was fitted, boost controller plumbed in. Went on the dyno and was not fueling well. Turns out I had an incorrect fuel pump fitted and the fuel filter was full of gunk. So they were changed out. Back on the dyno and electric fans stopped working! Turned out 1 had died but the way they are wired caused the other to stop as well. After discussions and a rummage in the SRD parts bin I have now gone back to a stock fan and shroud. Now running 358.38 at the wheels on 1.2bar. Car was taken for one last test drive and found an issue with the thermostat as car wasn't warming up, turns out I didn't have one! So that has now been sorted as well. Big thanks to Lee and the team at SRD for sorting my car. Few other bits have been identified which need sorting at some point but I am happy for now!
  2. SRD do one that fits detween battery and headlight. Uses original cap to! Didn't think it was badly priced https://www.srdtuning.com/product/srd-supra-alloy-expansion-tank/
  3. After the 2 bonnet catches in picture please? Thank you
  4. I have just been informed Hidden Performance Ltd. has been listed as dissolved. They are now trading under HP2 Ltd.
  5. Left the car in the very capable hands of SRD Tuning today. Going to sort a few minor issues, BPU it and fit a controler for the electric fans
  6. So after hitting fuel cut when boosting I checked my ECU to find I had no FCD fitted despite being told it had one when I bought it. So I got another and fitted it today. Now just need to sort the boost controller out
  7. Pretty sure you can buy brand new vsv's for less than that mate? Soemone else on here is selling used ones for £20 each
  8. Hoping I found the issue. Plug to the waste gate vsv had a broken wire. Could have been barely holding on and fully snapped when I removed the plug causing a dodgy connection? But hopefully that'll resolve it. Will go for a test drive in a bit!
  9. Thank you. Found this in one of the threads
  10. Ah damn! I hate turbo cars lol
  11. No outcome unfortunately. They ignored all my communications despite it being a legal requirements for them to reply. Everything was escalated to the trading standards group who have started an investigation against them and possibly the MOT station that MOT’d the car. I could have taken them to court to get back the repair costs but after discussing this with my legal representative they recommended anything less than £1000 is pretty much a right off and it would cost more for me to pursue. The strike off action I had postponed will end tomorrow. I’m sure they’ll carry on trading as previously stated they have now re-registered under a different trading name (HP2 Ltd.). From what I’ve been told they only have 1 ‘mechanic’ left working for them now, he is the one who built my car who has no actual formal training. The company is still being run by the same owner. I just hope anyone who is going to use them reads this thread and thinks carefully about what they are getting themselves into.
  12. I've been getting error code 34 coming up when boosting the car (not all the time). Checked all VSV and vac lines and all seem good. The car has a boost controller fitted but it is not on. I went to my friends and using his Supra as a guide put all the vac lines back to stock and removed the solenoid for the boost controller. Still have the same issue. So decided to check the ECU and discovered my car doesn't have an FCD fitted (despite having a receipt for the part and for the fitting from the previous owner). I speak to him regularly and he was as shocked as me. I'm guessing/hoping the error code 34 is down to the stock boost cut? (Happens at around 15.8 psi which is essentially just over 1 bar) Car has double decat and a restrictor ring fitted. Does this sound about right? Should the car be running that much boost using the stock VSV's just from having decats? Thanks in advance!
  13. Went to help my friend on his car at the weekend, he's going back to a more stock look so did a trade with him for his carbon cam cover.

    Omg

That is mental! I want a devil hand gauge holder!!
  15. Have you checked for error codes? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?35920-How-To-Check-the-diagnostics-codes
  16. Great looking car! Welcome to the club
  17. Love the comments and stares these cars get! This one used to get so much attention, and always without fail the same comment everywhere i went "What's the retail on one of those?"
  18. De-tango'd the rear lights. Bought a spare set of clear lenses. Popped the lights in the oven for 10 minutes at a low heat (whilst the wife was out!!). Split them, removed the orange indicator lenses, back in the oven and resealed. Very easy job to do I then fitted chrome amber indicator bulbs to finish it off.
  19. Bit of work on the car at the weekend. Replaced the turbo link pipes, they had definitely seen better days! Also whilst replacing vac lines, i found my turbo pressure sensor had somehow melted underneath. So got a replacement one. I then fitted a carbon slam panel, this was from EPR Racing and was a shocking fit! Required modifying. I do not recommend to anyone lol
  20. Yes it is, that one was a lot of fun to build
  21. I like it lol. Agree though, I have driven a TT6 and much prefer the auto!
  22. I've done it on all my auto's i have had. I'm not a fan of the big clunky shifter! Also it stops the wallies looking through the window with the generic 'Oh, it's an auto' comment
  23. Haha! It was the dark side for sure Thank you, looking forward to seeing how this one evolves myself!
  24. Awesome! Will give it a go. Thanks
