    wheels

ok I've checked out the search function and got thoughly confused .. it's donny in 2 weeks and I want some nice new alloys. After reading around am i right in saying that the standard fitment is : (for a j spec) Front Offset 50mm Width 8.0 inches Rear Offset 50mm Width 9.5 inches So wheres a good alloy shop in the south west that'll let me have a good look and find what i want ? I've tried south west tyres in clevdon and they wont sell two different sets. ta Paul
  7. lol right ok .. sorry had a brain drain earlier. i know it honestly ... hmmm coming from the door intresting ? i was thinking the wheels but it's a similar area ... what was the fix I'll try it anyway.
  8. mmm sort of a ch ch ... doesnt go on for very long at all. going to try and search out the leak over this week with the decent weather. err LSD ?
  9. ok i've had the surpa over a cpl of weeks now so it's time to start sorting out the little nuances ... firstly over the last few days the car has developed ehat can only be described as a chirp. when i'm tuning round corners or on roundabouts intermettinly get a short chirp. the first few times i did actually think it was a bird overhead. i've had a search thourgh the forum but the word chirp doesnt seem to get any matches strangely .. I'm also getting a fair bit of blue smoke when starting in the morning, it vanishes as the engine warms up and i've also noticed that i've got a very small oil leak. only a few drops on the drive so that's on the list to investigate, any recommendations ? other than that i've got the usual assortment of rattles and squeeks that I'm off to hunt down this afternoon.
  10. yep very intrested and my current policy will expire in aprill so well timed too
  11. hmm not sure to be honest. I like the idea of the spoiler but it does seem a bit to tall and wide, I thikn if I go that route I'd go for something a bit smaller, but as with all these things it always looks different in the metal. but top shout for trying something a bit different.
