  1. Im sure this will have been asked before or someone will have covered this, or perhaps tis such a stupid question no one has.... If say someone has a twin turbo and decides to go single and takes all the twin bits of there car. Can these then be put onto an n/a, i know the engines are different but can an na become a twin in this way or is it just completely pointless. I assume you could use the standard twin ecu and things like that. I imagine the cost would get out of control as apposed to just fitting a twin engine.
  2. That sounds pretty good :-) Will be definitely taking the country roads to corley at that time. covs roads are terrible at that sort of time!
  3. Looking for a bit of advice. ive had a search on here and cant find a lot of info about which clutches guys go for with the n/a. Should i stick with standard toyota parts or consider something alternative. Im looking at tweaking the car slightly over time so should the standard one be used? Also if someone can give me an idea of prices that would be great, including the release bearing as well please or full kit whichever you call it.
  4. Oh seeing as it listed the other models auto etc as well as just the "supra" category i assumed that was the na. Very true though, my car is registered as a twin turbo, but its an na.
  5. Very true. Just another reminder i need to get mine done....
  6. Im sure as a standard toyota part it is and i bet its very expensive. I was meaning they could have cut it, flaired the old pipe and connected in a new section. Not 100% sure if its possible but you can do it with brake lines so im assuming you could with a fuel line.
  7. Perhaps toyotas quote did include doing the complete fuel line as well then.....
  8. Sounds like a huge job. Could they not have cut the furl line where it was good just up behind the sub frame, flaired it and joined to new pipe? I assume thats what Toyota will do with mine if it is really that big a job they wouldn't have quoted so low for so much work.... - - - Updated - - - Sounds like a huge job. 9. Replacing the whole lot. He said it would be a really quick job, max couple hours and the copper pipe would only be around £30..... I was going to do it myself and buy a flare from ebay but at this price i may just save myself some time.
  10. Toyota quoted me £200 to replace these lines. He said they wouldnt bother with toyota parts and they would just bend some new copper pipe in its place....
  11. Spot on thanks. Worked it out now. i will go the country lanes and join corley services southbound. :-) Anyone thought of times etc yet? Will take me 20mins to get to corley.
  12. Is there a good place to stop junction 3? Corley services is good too though, is it on a junction as ill get to it travelling northbound so will need to turn around...
  13. Ah i didnt think of that. Yer that sounds like a good plan. Or where the m6 joins the m69, that is right next to a huge tesco/cinema/other stuff, there is a big car park there would be quite easy to meet there too?
  14. Do you mean stop? Im guessing there should be a service station somewhere near there
  15. I will join the m69 at cov so if anyone wants to stop there for the brief 25min trip to dyno could be good to get some en route snaps. :-)
  16. I said i had no idea Reckon my car wont trouble it though... Im sure rich or someone who knows will let you know :-)
  17. Haha sorry, I have no idea. Never had one done before. I know Rich who works there car runs nearly 700 i think or something like that. If thats what you meant?
  18. How did you find that? That does help thanks. Not sure though whether i like it as much as standard. But i guess thats the only option i have unless i buy new! :-/
  19. Hmm i think i will try and buy the chrome inserts from somewhere. I cant see them looking right without the rings :-( Polishing the plastic im not fussed about but im trying to not stray from oem....
  20. My problem is the two smaller chrome rings also have rust discolouration on them too, so would not be able to have any part chrome.
  21. Ok ta. Well i still need to fix em anyway. Will painting the entire unit, chrome rings and all not affect the function of the lights? I also dont want them to look naff
  22. Buy a second hand one for say £40-£60 and swap the working parts from one to the broken parts on your current one....That way you know yours was working apart from the failed component that you will have replaced?
  23. Out of interest how can you tell? Do they look that different?
