  1. Ok im not 100% sure how to find members but ive just been going through youtube and found a video of an insane looking supra from the uk. Its black and the reg reads Jamie P. Just wondering if he's a member and for everyone to remind me, if the chance ever arises, to never get in that car it looks insane!
  2. Spot on thanks. Im not too fussed about changing the pipes etc but would like a professional clean/polish under there to get it really good again. Plus the engine isnt coming out for a while making things a tad harder.
  3. Is there anyone in the midlands area who does engine cleaning and detailing. Im looking at replacing the vac lines etc to some nice new ones and getting this cleaned up under there. Its an n/a so quite a bit of space under there.
  4. Just to throw an idea at you. Mine was making a similar noise, seemed to be coming from the top of the engine, cam area, and turned out to be a duff alternator pulley. Worth checking, just slacken the belt and check all of the other pulleys too.
  5. Out of interest did you pay someone to do the work? I tried stripping weight but i thought at just south of 1300kg they were light enough, plus i liked my sound systems
  6. Mine was near identical expect i 2.2 strokered and was hitting around 330. Great until my turbo went and i had no money But i still prefer the sub 240bhp my na supra has
  7. 3k to get a standard mr2 turbo from 230bhp to 260bhp That is expensive. Or was the majority spent on weight loss? The main thing i miss with the mr2 is the feeling of the engine being right behind you, made it seem faster than it was.
  8. I had mine with 2 different companies. The first i told about my no claims and they applied it to my first car. Then when i got the Supra and said i had ncb on another car they said thats fine we can still give you the discount!
  9. cool well ill not delete my pics then. Although i may change for a better one if the weather is better tomorrow. Plus ive only just realised my car looks 2 colours in this pic
  10. Can you add your own? I have voted for someone else as they're car is v nice but here is mine just incase! (Although i wish i had a better pic) One looking the same colour: Better photo:
  11. Cant remember which user it was. But they went on the run, in memory of someone, forgive me if im wrong. The car is grey, minimal mods, stock skirts. Think it may have been Harold or someone like that....
  12. Just remember if you want to hit over 300bhp its cheaper in the mr2! Crazy as it sounds but you can get to those figures for mighty low money. Unless you grab a super duper uber bargain stock tt supra.
  13. I converted from MR2's to the Supra and i too was a uni student when i did so. I had all service history from new on my mr2, over 150 sheets of receipts etc for it. Tbh the only thing i notice is that i spend a little bit more on fuel. Not a great deal though as i dont have to push the Supra as hard to go fast. The build quality between the too is pretty wide as well. I mean the mr2 is built well, but since working on the Supra its a world away. Yer parts may be expensive for it but they will last longer than the mr2. Its also a lot easier to work on making labour cheaper if you dont do the work yourself.
  14. For instance you can buy a refurbed super charger from a e or c class for 450, much newer unit. :-)
  15. Sorry :-( I saw what car it is from though, dirt cheap to buy from a breakers! Just wondering if it is really the 'best' way of doing it....
  16. Just scrolling through ebay today as per and stumbled across this.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Super-Charger-Toyota-Supra-Non-Turbo-Turbo-Universal-/121012712333?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c2ceb738d
  17. Sounds like a good plan. Thanks. Otherwise i may just dig deep and buy some nice shiny new ones. Anyone had experience with replacing the little bits of foam? What is best to use or just leave them without?
  18. Ok cheers for the advice. Would not having the foam bits cause them to mist up. tbh i never noticed it happening with the old lights but ive not owned the car in the cold so it could have been.... Can you buy the little bits of foam or can i just cut some and put it in the tubes? With the seal im guessing i cant just apply more around the housing surely a "thick" covering would stop water getting in?
  19. I dont think ive got a hope in hell of taking them apart again. I went to town with the tiger seal around the edge, in the hope this would secure the seal.
  20. The other day i followed the guide on here to refurb headlights. Followed the guide to the letter and the lights look great, however today ive gone out to the car and the lights are all fogged up on the inside. They have been fine for the last week but today are both pretty bad. I put the lights back in the oven to soften the glue and pushed them back together and put the metal clips all round again. I even went around the edges with tiger seal I doubt the lights will come apart again now with the extra sealant that i put around them. Should i just remove the lights and put a ton more sealant round to try and get the seal better? Any advice would be great thanks *Edit* I also just read a post about the breather pipes supposedly having little bits of foam in them? Mine definitely dont have these!
  21. Meet at Corley services and leave at 09:30hrs 1 dunk 2 Sheefa 3 Scott87 4 5 6 7
  22. Haha cheers for the offer, but my exhaust sounds bloody brilliant as is Also changed the cars feel a lot under pull too.
  23. Cheers :-) I think i'm going with an organic clutch now. Found one for much cheaper than oem and as it may bot be used for that long may as well save some pennies.
  24. Had to help someone with their car the other day and my other friend turned up with some parts. Thought it made a good photo Shame the 4th car that turned up to "connect 4" was a volvo not a corolla or something similar. You can just about see my new headlights, still needs some more work polishing.
