  1. Looks good. Did you keep the stock cold air feeds or beef them up a bit?
  2. Brill thanks. And those feeds are good enough. Not worth increasing the size of the feed pipes? Just asking as after changing a few bits the car feels a little air hungry.
  3. Ok thanks. Well i may get a cheap one and do 2 dyno runs to see if there is a difference. Would a sealed induction kit not be better than the standard panel? Like the bmc.
  4. Ive been looking at fitting an induction kit or similar to the Supra, ive had an equal amount of people saying its good and vice versa. But i have just a few questions. 1. How many people use the universal filters. I really cant see why a piece of foam or whatever should be hundreds of pounds when im going to have to custom fit it where i want it anyway. If people do have universal jobbies which one. 2. If i were to buy a washable panel filter could i place this in the original airbox and remove the fold down cover? I would obv make a surround out of metal or similar to stop water and would clip the filter in place. But would this not give a huge surface area and be the same material as an induction kit?
  5. Ok ive now been told that i shouldn't worry about my water pump having covered 100,000miles and should just change it when my timing belt needs doing. So this now means the job i need doing is changing the rocker gasket and bleeding the brakes. Again looking for some help as i dont have a garage the Supra will fit in, nor does it have electricity. So either way looking for help with much simpler job this time (Unless someone comes along screaming that 100k is far too many miles on the pump)
  6. Not as high as i thought then. (On a separate note, i assume Dot 4 is fine for Supra daily road use then...)
  7. Could you not just use dot 5.1? Isnt the point of that being higher boiling points etc?
  8. Cheers You mean apart from it being filthy!
  9. Managed to get my hands on a set of pretty rare JDM matts thanks to Keron Pretty dirty so have spent the day washing and shampooing them. Couple of pictures below; once they have dried i'll take a new one in the car.....
  10. Cheers for the replies :-) I know a good garage that is cheap, but i'd like to do the work myself (with help) Lincoln is quite far, but not a difficult journey.
  11. I didnt know you could search users names! Hence in the first post i mentioned how do i find members. Although yes, i do now feel pretty stupid
  12. Im looking to see if there is anyone in the midlands area that would be willing to help me out with a days mechanical work. I can come to you with tools or vice versa although my garage is without electricity which could cause a problem. I am basically in need of some work done and cant afford both jobs to be done at a garage, one of which is the clutch which im not confident changing on my drive anyway. The second and work im asking for help with (as ive never done it on a Supra), is changing the water pump and i guess the timing belt whilst im there, Im assuming its around 3-4 hours work but correct me if im wrong. So if there is a lovely person out there willing to help i can ply with beers for the trouble, once the work is done else it could go terribly wrong I live in Coventry so can travel.

    Hot Supra

Ok thanks. Think ill wait a while to do it anyway as i need a garage to do it in.....

    Hot Supra

Ok thanks. I think that i may have a mild rocker gasket leak looking at it now, so this could be the cause of the new "hot" smell.
  16. How much was the blitz panel filter dude?
  17. Prefer the other bonnet But thats coming from someone with a gt4 bonnet on there supra......

    Hot Supra

Sorry if the title lured you in Been out for a drive and when i got out of the car it smelt hot, if that makes sense. I know my mr2 used to run super hot but do Supra's too? I wasn't really booting it, and ive just had a coolant change and the temp needle stays bang in the mid range....
  19. +1 on the fan club Im sure its been mentioned. But the fuel gauge actually drops on the video of the dials! I stand by my first post..... INSANE!
  20. Cool cheers. Was just wondering. Looked like an absolute beast!
  21. Have i stumbled onto a subject i didn't want to?
