    speakers

It is but since i last had a nice install, manufacturers have changed and ive never relied on the speakers for the bass alone without a sub. Also everyone seems to do different things so ive just got a bit lost really.

    speakers

Ok so ive been searching through the forum looking at ice installs and just want a quick bit of further advice. Basically the front speakers are oem and i have blown one some how, think it must be from them not getting used for so many years then me blasting rock music out. I was wondering what can be done to upgrade using the standard sizes and if it is worth it. I was just going to put standard oem in but am wondering if i should upgrade. I changed my speakers in my mr2 from oem and they sounded really tinny. I dont want a sub as i dont have the space using the car as a daily runner. And i want to ensure i get good bass. The rears as standard give quite a bit i find. Would it be best to install single cone rear speakers and then coaxials up front with the seperate tweaters? Also the difference in upgrading or getting replacement oem's is going to be huge money wise so i dont want to go crazy, its not like i listen to very loud music these days as my son is in the car alot......
  3. One of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/93-98-Toyota-Supra-JZA80-rear-roof-window-visor-spoiler-/400257849095?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ASupra&hash=item5d313a1707
  4. Sounds good - Any idea on cost so i can save some pennies! Do you have the rear window diffuser/spoiler thing?
  5. +! for an n/a manifold. Also what about the rear window diffuser?
  6. I find my n/a plenty quick. You have to push it, but when the second throttle body opens, or whatever its called and the engine note changes thats where i find the most dramatic pull at around 4k.
  7. Its the front window vents that are rare as rocking horse poo. The ones that deflect air when the windows are open slightly....

    Running to hot

I was thinking it would not be affected by ambient temps as much. Plus the charcooler could be mounted elsewhere not infront of the radiator. ..

    Running to hot

A liquid way of cooling as apposed to air.

    Perhaps look into a chargecooler?
  11. Cant say that's asking for anything unreasonable. He should agree to that and be thankful your not sueing him for a lot more.
  12. Also if your car is insured for mods and all, they dont just give you the list price, you insure the mods for a reason so get more back. But of course the garages insurance may just try and pay far less, leading to a small claims procedure on which the garage would have no leg to stand on.
  13. Yer i think 15k covers the cost of reduction of value as well does it? Either way id want a car back that hadnt been crashed, they never seem quite right after in my opinion.
  14. At this point i would go to my solicitor and tell the garage you want the value of the car in a big fat cheque.
  15. As ive been looking for info about this conversion i have been using this resource. Not sure how accurate it is though. Got some info regarding boxes etc and pretty much everything else. Know your a guru anyway though Paul, but just posting for others.... http://www.lextreme.com/1uzfe_info.html
  16. Pic of my engine bay. Just a lowly n/a though
  17. What would the cost be if i were to complete the build par the wiring, rad modification and exhaust?
  18. Yes it is. The airbag was placed in the glovebox location on later year cars.
  19. Well sounds like he is going to do the right thing. Id insist on it being checked with a laser or however they do it before any work is done as my old car never felt the same after the crash and it was because the garage repairing it had missed that it was ever so slightly not straight!
  20. Here are the pictures of my lovely clean matts. (Although they dont look it in the pics) On another note, i dont think they were colour fast and have now darkened, which is a bonus for me Just need to fix some of the stitching next
  21. That is not good, someone from the garage crashed it? Not to be funny, but it looks like a write off!
  22. No it feels much better since the exhaust. And I still have small diameter tubing a second decat and first cat still fitted.
  23. I don't know the car just feels a tad restricted since emproving exhaust flow, maybe it's just me tbh though. I have a new oem filter.
  24. True, but i could claim making dump valve noises hanging out the window means id go quicker than a tt.
  25. Yer that would be the plan. Although i wasn't hoping to gain much hp, just increase airflow in. It just feels restricted at the mo.... I just dont want to make things worse, that is my main reason for so so many questions.
