  1. To be different. - - - Updated - - - Wouldnt it get wet?
  2. I was interested in getting a single simple intake pipe, removing the resonator boxes etc, so i can wrap it to prevent further heat soak. Just wondering what you do with the bits that connect into the pipe.
  3. What did you do with the sensors that plug into the air intake piping and breather hoses?
  4. The other bonus i have is that engine bay temps on my car are very low having a large vented bonnet. I think i may try modifying the lid with a direct cold air feed, worse that will happen is i need to buy a new airbox lid.
  5. The oem clutch is quite pricey, toyota quoted something silly, Im planning to buy an organic clutch (£170) then i've been quoted between £100 and £150 in labour to have the work done.
  6. Yer got a second decat in and have removed 2 of the silencers. Trying to do a deal on a manifold/first decat now :-)
  7. Definitely not. I like my headlights! Im just thinking the driverside may be to short and allow water up the pipe? So may be best putting to the passenger side? Although i guess an induction kit sitting there would get wet, so i should be alright with the tube driver side below the indicator?! - - - Updated - - - Just thought as i typed it, running it to passenger side would be very close to the fan etc, best to stick to having it driverside.
  8. Yer i kind of like trying new things. I did with the exhaust and am very pleased with the results. I think if i cut a circular hole in the cover, then use fibre glass to make a cicular tube, i can then attach 'bendy' piping using a jubilee clip over the fibre glass. Then choose whether to run the pipe to the passenger or driverside of the bumper. Im thinking passenger side to reduce the chance of water running up it. What do you think?
  9. I agree but aesthetically it will be more noticeable from the front end of the car with the pipe showing. Perhaps they compromised function slightly by looks?
  10. Yep agreed. Just a very interesting design. I spoke to Rogue the other day too and they say induction is the way forward but to use the bmc forced induction. More flow and a sealed unit, very similar to the standard one. I was considering cutting the standard cover on the filter box and attaching a circle flex pipe to it with fibre glass? Would force more air directly onto the filter.
  11. There is a big thing about tt owners using these once single on the supra.com forums. It is a HUGE surface area for the filter though! - - - Updated - - - No cant seem to find one. I have a Blitz panel filter fitted which i check regularly to make sure it hasn't caught a bird or large animal that could block the intake lol If you can get one that would be brill :-) Really interested to see it.
  12. Its meant to give huge gains and more so than the usual k&n type kits. But im not overly fussed about there claims, but it does look like an airbox cut open... Also the filter itself is a huge distance from the manifold, would the heat not be about the same? - - - Updated - - - Have you got a picture of this? Did you just use a standard filter?
  13. Haha retail is £350! CRAZY!!! but second hand around £100 mark. Just intrigued to why not just take the cover off your airbox as this is what it looks like....
  14. Ok this is the last one i promise. But i have been looking at these. Im not thinking of buying one unless it was uber cheap second hand, but is this not the same as just running the stock airbox without the cover on?
  15. I think it may be from an audi, looks very similar to my parents s3.
  16. Very clean car. First on in white i've liked. Sorry other owners Stock wheels with different centre caps looks best imo:
  17. Hahaha ok then. I may just stick with the sourcing a manifold plan then
  18. Is it more difficult than it sounds? Have you done it before?
  19. If you do let me know. Dull or not i like them
