  1. As above but here we go anyway.
  2. Looks lots better. My supra gets that much condensation too! Its a nightmare....
  3. Done, literally dont like any car in there par yours and the mr2 though
  4. Just checked my car and i have a 1.1bar cap on it already? Are you sure stock is 0.9? As the TRD is 1.3 so that would be a huge jump up from 0.9
  5. I didnt think of it like that, i assumed that the coolant would have something in it to counteract that effect. I guess that will have to be the next job on the list then after xmas. So i should just grab the red pre-mixed coolant then. None of the shops are open early enough here tomorrow so im going to get a new rad cap once i get to somerset. Will it be ok to top the expansion tank up with water as im going to swap all of the coolant out after christmas anyway? I cant imagine it takes much to fill that tiny bottle up.
  6. I started another thread mentioning ive lost some coolant, so have decided to pop a new cap on and top up the lost coolant. My question is what pressure cap do i need. I cant get one from toyota as i need it tomorrow. Am i right in thinking it is a 1.1bar for the n/a sup?
  7. Also ive been looking through the FAQ section and i cant find any info about the rad cap?
  8. Ok thanks So i assume the blue coolant Halfords sell will match what is in my car already. The car has got half water and half coolant mix in atm. Buy that i mean is blue coolant just blue coolant or are there massive differences?
  9. Would it not more likely be the cap rather than a leak as its gone down so slowly, it was in september i think when the coolant was done so quite a while. Is it not ok to use water to top it up then? The mix was spot on when the coolant was changed so surely that tiny amount in the expansion tank wouldn't make too much difference?
  10. I'm off on a long journey tomorrow and foolishly left it until today to check the fluids in my car. Had the coolant changed a few months back and the reserve tank is now right down low, so im thinking that maybe the rad cap is starting to fail? As toyota aren't open now would this one be suitable? Or is it just likely that the system had some air in. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_166673_categoryId_256264_langId_-1?cm_sp=Intelligent_Offer-_-Product_Details_Zone_1-_-Blank&iozone=PDPz1
  11. Im 25 been driving for 7 years and have 1 accident on my file. I am paying £500 for my jap n/a, but it would be cheaper for a uk tt Just cant afford to buy one!
  12. Do they do the original door seals, the ones that run along the bottom of the glass to the outside and obove?
  13. Brill i shall get shopping. I guess i will just need one with 2 sensor locations. One for temp and one for the pressure gauge. With the water temp, can you post the link of the pipe, searching on whifbitz it doesnt come up.
  14. Ok thanks. Right so ill use the sensor that comes with the gauge then. Ill look for the top rad pipe now. I assume the oil pressure and temperature will need a sandwich plate to be installed. Are these 'safe' and can you use the standard oil filter still?
  15. Brill thanks. Can you splice the cable so that the original gauge works as well as the after market one? Looking at these as they look quite nice, just like the Autogauge i have in the MR2, and are a good price: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Smoked-Water-Temp-Temperature-gauge-1-8npt-Sensor-Subaru-Impreza-Legacy-Turbo-/170961956710?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27ce206f66
  16. Not that specific one, but I want a rectangle one, Then then i want the oil pressure/temp one to be in the clock location so i dont need pod holders etc.
  17. Ok thats good to know thanks I will have a look at getting one of these asap then, which hose do you splice to put the sensor in?
  18. Wow they are nice but mega expensive! I was thinking of something more simple like theses for intake tamp as i was going to mount into the dash: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AIR-CHARGE-INTERCOOLER-TEMPERATURE-GAUGE-INC-SENSOR-UNIVERSAL-BRAND-NEW-TURBO-/140898763865?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20ce388459 How do you plumb in a gauge for oil temp/pressure and what do you need to do it? - - - Updated - - - Is water temp not the standard temp on the dash?
  19. What are the best sensors/setups to use? Obviously the air temp can be a simple probe and digital display, but what about the oil temp/pressure.
  20. I'm not personally a massive fan of having loads of dials in the car but i'd like 1 or 2 to give me a bit more information about whats going on under the car. Im currently running an n/a but this is likely to change in the future. Just wondering what sensors people are running if anyone else has already done this? I was thinking the obvious air intake and oil temp, unless someone has better suggestions.
  21. I like being given a gift back... This is one of my favourite videos (Dam Cats!)
  22. Not one for being soppy or anything like that but just wanted to post a small thanks. Not been a member for long but after getting my car from a very helpful member on here (The day after joining), have had nothing but good help and entertaining banter. Have even only been mocked a handful of occasions which is pretty good! So cheers to you all! Well soppy bit out the way here is your present.... A ninja squirrel! http://www.jooo.info/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/vv1.jpg
  23. You sold me a Supra on the premis of them being awesome, would be rude to go and sell yours now!
  24. Ive had 2 accidents with them (or elephant technically) and they have been fantastic (Even accidentally hired my mates dad as my barrister for me which went very well indeed) ....
  25. Admiral are the best for n/a 24 and i pay 500
