  1. I want all of those too!
  2. They are very cheap new! Are you na-t? If you go na-t do you know if you can run a tt intake manifold so that the intercooler piping is tidier?
  3. Out of interest is this the turbo your talking about? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330855478051?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  4. I've been looking and as far as I can tell to get a 6speed in the nic I want and mileage I'm looking upwards of 7k. That iss a lot more than if I keep my car and buy a tt lump. Also selling price is not an issue, I'm going to run the supra into the ground or keep it alive which ever way u look at it. And I can't accept an auto. No matter how good, changing gear myself is one of the best bits of driving
  5. I could get it mapped for free But thats not the point, i can see where tt is looking better after this mini thread..... Id love to buy a tt6 but ive seen ones that i like go for 3times more than im planning on spending modding mine. But maybe im just fussy! As i just said im going to start tt lump looking
  6. Thats good to know. Well that might be the plan then. To find me a tt lump, unless someone wants to swap for my na
  7. I certainly dont have the money for a tt6 and dont want an auto. Hence one reason why i want to keep mine, plus i love it.
  8. I like my car too much to part with it. Thanks for the advice. I think its mainly because i was set on going supercharged but then changed my mind i wanted something more interesting than just dropping an engine in. The only part new i was looking to purchase new was the turbo hence why the cost was soo low. Then of course the £500 odd on top for the ecu. What would a good price be for a tt lump with wiring turbos etc etc. If it is close to £1500 then its a non brainer really, i would choose oem toyota tuned over na-t, just havent seen engines for sale par from the dodgey ebay ones. I had an mr2 that was turbo'd, i then blew the engine so bought a turbo engine and that was fine, then a stroker kit and thats where problems came about again. So i guess i shouldn't expect it to be any different with the Supra.
  9. Well i would be doing all the fitting myself so i guess if a complete tt engine came along at the right price?! Can the tt engine be mounted up to the w58 fine? I also read that the bottom end on a n/a engine is stronger, but that was about larger power builds. If i were to go single though with it being a low power build the risk i would be taking is fairly small, as long as the cooling, oil and mapping was done correctly surely? But i guess it will still be true 'aftermarket' as apposed to from the factory...
  10. ah yer thats quite an important factor. Well tt lumps are pretty pricey as far as ive seen, ive been pricing the single build and its coming in very low par the ecu. Ive managed about a grand for all the bits after reading what others have done.
  11. Ok thanks So if i say that currently my car is 200bhp (Not saying it is just an example) and i want to be 300hp what would be the best 'small' turbo. As i said looking for gains but not mega, also want to keep reliability and not stray from stock internals. Im also going to run the w58 box.
  12. I may do, but i want to start with something small. I also want the Supra to be a daily runner. I actually meant the ct26 the 20b i have is knackered.
  13. Im getting the ich more and more and with job prospects starting to perk up im looking to the near future and a small single build is very appealing especially if i get the job at the mechanics ive applied for. My question is can i use a ct20b turbo on the Supra for a small single build. I know they are a good turbo and 'safe' to 22psi but would it be suitable? Im not aiming for mega power just looking to get that extra boost.
  14. Yer thats what is was thinking perhaps the securing pin thing has popped out or is a bit worn. I will check this too It doesn;t sound like something broken it is more a something is moving sound...
  15. Def a knock not a squeak.....
  16. Ill check these first tomorrow. I did do everything up nice and tight but will check nothing has come loose.
  17. Just been out having some pictures taken of the Supra and driving round have noticed that im getting a knocking or clunking noise coming from the rear driverside under braking. What would cause the brake/caliper to do this? Ive got new disks and pads all round.
  18. Motaquip do oem parts and are cheap as chips. If u get oil from them change every 6not 12 months
  19. Having some pictures taken of my car, could be cool to get a few together?
  20. But i thought the largest number was the width and the 45 number was the tire wall size? I assumed on a 17" rim no matter on width a 45 profile was the same size. So i should check i have 235/45/17 on the fronts then and select the rears accordingly. Just red it again, I understand you post, just never new it worked like that. Thanks :-D
  21. Different profiles? Ok thanks, 2 Hankooks £130
  22. Was just wondering if someone can point out what tyre sizes i should have on my car. I have stock 17" rims, the front tyres are brand new and i think are a 45 profile. Im just wondering what i should put on the rears.
