Just incase anyone quotes too high a figure for a tt bpu, ill just throw out it takes the N/A Supra a staggering 14.8 1/4 at 95mph.
  5. Yer i do get that the engines are cheap and it should be fine but my plan over the next year is to replace all of the suspension with new and polybush, Clean and re-seal the car, repaint, and then it seemed only sensible that going to all this effort i refresh the engine to the same degree. But maybe your right, ill do all the other bits as they 'need' to be done, then run the engine as is and refresh it when it needs it.
  6. Cheers. So even with it out, general consensus just change what needs to be changed, rather than just blindly overhauling. Cheers for the advice, ill probably do it over a few days so will document and right up as i go so others can use it.
  7. I have spoken about the build options and im planning on running a relatively low power build anyway so nothing much is going to be changed. The gaskets need doing so it seems sensible to just overhall all at the same time.
  8. Its low, but it's coming out to be cleaned/painted and have the gaskets done. Its literally just hit 168,000 kilometers. Remove/clean injectors or replace them? Hopefully getting the engine ready/refreshed, that way if i want to go na-t its nice and ready.
  9. Im thinking of waiting until later next year to do my turbo build due to hopefully starting a busy job soon :-). However i would like to get the current n/a engine out and clean it and replace lots of bits to make it 'better'. Im obviously talking about doing the pumps, belts and pulleys, but im going to open it up to. What should i consider replacing or just cleaning? Im not looking to get power of anything, just want to refresh the old block a bit to ensure its strong for years to come.
  10. Not good news whether it was a member or not. Always worry when it was a single car accident though about the circumstances....
  11. A set of these will do it. They are called Irwins, or at leas the brand is anyway.... Just hammer it on and it will undo any nut/bolt ive had trouble with.
  12. Have you checked condition of master and slave cylinder if all is bled properly. My mistake, i read the first post as they sieze up and not work.
  13. Did u change the fluid bleed properly?
  14. Are you still looking for bits?
  15. yep that has been a big job!!! Mine is in the body shop having a respray so hoping that i will end up getting that back tomorrow (will post up pics when done). Just let me know when things calm down a bit and ill swing over, seriously gotta get mine in the air now the weather is picking up as itll be used lots again.
  16. Yer I did. Wasn't too bad in the end. Just a bit fiddly. Still need to meet up at some point! :-)
  17. Cheers guys Yer the gt4 bonnet isnt too everyones tast but it does make the car look mean as hell! Yer the indicators are motorbike ones just mounted upside down. I was considering changing them to stock ones but not too sure now.
  18. Really need to get my act together. But here is one more with a model composite....

    cambelt change

If the oem is still a reasonable price its just blueprint is dirt cheap id go with oem. But i have never had problems with blueprint. Im sure someone on here must have used one on a supra before...

    cambelt change

Used it on a lot of other cars always been fine, but what is the difference in price between this kit and oem from toyota?
  21. Just thought id post saying that i took the plunge and went with the GT tyres. The ones i ended up with are the newer tread patterns ones and were a bargain at £190 fitted for the pair imo. Anyway so far ive got to say they are really good. Not been able to test dry roads but in the wet the grip is fantastic. The feedback is also very positive. Id only say that the downside is they carry a little more road noise but i was expecting that after reading reviews. They are also good in the snow!

    Hello!!!!

Hola Que tal. Welcome and good luck with the search, some nice cars for sale at the moment (cheap imo).
  23. Used mine everyday. Running sport tyres with very little tread but coped really well. Only once did i have to reverse up a road rather than going forward to get traction.....
