  1. I would be willing to run my car if i had proper timing equipment. Mine (with the timing gizmos available to me, not high tech!) will do it in the low 6's. Granted mine isnt entirely stock though? But i was still amazed that 0-60 time was quite so low?!
  2. It was awesome to see, biggest power of the night! My friends 350z 3.5ltr v6 ran at the very end and got 293bhp! Cant believe that much power only makes the car 0.3 seconds quicker to 60 than the n/a Sup Gotta say though, not many Japanese cars there, mainly seats
  3. Awesome may see you there then
  4. I didnt know you could paint the crank pulley.
  5. Awesome, well i wasn't going to take my car but if there are other Supras going i think i should.
  6. Just wondering if anyone else is heading over to the Japanese meet at DynoDaze tonight? It starts from 7 and is at their unit in Hinckley.
  7. I would be kind to the mods if i were you!
  8. lbm, Long Bodied Mammal? I have no idea either!
  9. Unfortunately with all the other bits i have planned i don't have 2k spare, Hence polybushing.
  10. Are you responsible for the Supra Facebook group?
  11. Think of something great and times by ten And i only have an n/a!
  12. Drive a Supra and you will love it for ever!
  13. Done :-) Liked from my sons page and mine!
  14. Just a heads up though, prices are uber low at the moment so you can probably get a nice 5 speed manual?!
  15. Welcome. Not sure what the auto n/a hits 60 in but its not that quick. I think the 5 speed manual is around 6.4. People swear by the auto boxes on here though!
  16. Hmmm my ability to read has been greatly affected by something today, my bad!
  17. Undo the small nut on the caliper, slide the arm up and remove the pads. Tie the slide calliper section up, then unbolt the calliper mount and remove. Then the disk is free to be removed, just make sure you dont have the handbrake on. Ive always managed to gently tap the disk off but through the small hole there is an adjuster for the hub brake to release them from the disk if you struggle. Or Follow that guide i couldn't find!
  18. Ok thanks Can i ask other than whats on my list what do i need?
  19. Yer i've done a build before and my budget went from £800 to £3500, so im fully aware of the dangers Ill have another read around about that ecu. Im not in a hurry at all and am going to collect the parts slowly, so hoping to stick to my budget, the only thing out of my control is mapping. I agree the ecu would need changing at a later date if i go for more power, but then i will need a new box etc too so that wont be happening on this initial build. I want to make the intake piping myself and try and use single pieces rather than joining rubbers/silicone, but again ill have to see how that goes - - - Updated - - - They are a good price. thanks for that
  20. Spot on thanks. What about Map-Ecu, they seem to be used by quite a few people and are a nice reasonable price at around £180. Im hoping to do the complete build for circa £1300, Considering all parts are going to be used par the turbo, intercooler and intake piping. Ive been reading through that thread of the na-t, some good stuff in there. As is your early turbo build too
  21. Well parts wise i think na-t is a nicer build, but its the cost that is the main decider at the moment. All the parts ive found so far come in at around £700, so its just the ecu and a few other bits that im looking at especially the nice aluminium intake pipes etc. Im looking for around 350bhp, Something around that mark. So nice and low really that way the w58 can stay and the engine can stay stock.
  22. I've been eyeing up some parts trying to figure out my parts if i go na-t rather than na-tt. Im pretty sure ive found: 1. manifold 2. Turbo 3. Intercooler 4. Bov 5. Boost controller and guage 6. Air filter 7. Sandwhich plate and oil cooler? 8. Turbo oil lines My question is running a nice small turbo im looking to keep the car relatively stock engine wise. What ecu would be best to use and as im not going mega power is a 'piggy back' an option? The ecu seems to be the most expensive component so want to get this right and aftermarket ecu's are pretty new to me.
