  1. Thanks for the offer but that is a bit of a drive, hopefully will sort something a tad more local
  2. I am using 10w 40 as I was advised?
  3. I know I don't need the jack for the gasket. That was mentioning about the arms. I just don't have the tools, nor money to replace the stolen ones as insurance won't pay out.
  4. I was wondering if anyone that lives fairly local to Coventry could lend a hand this weekend or week? As I've gone on about loads I'm lacking in tools as they were pinched I basically need someone to come with a few tools and help me change the rocker gasket on my car. Not a big job but a bit difficult without the correct tools. I also (if I can get the parts) am looking at changing the rear upper arms. I have a jack and stands and a few tools left but just not a comprehensive amount as before. Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist.
  5. I was using some magnex stuff. But I'm about to do an oil change so was thinking of going to opie oils is it?.....
  6. Um I believe so.... I'm sure someone can confirm. I've not worked on air con before :/
  7. Still no blue smoke, so i doubt very much now that it is the seals.....
  8. Ive made a few modifications to my na and have noticed some very nice gains. Haven't documented it greatly as i didn't really consider na bpu anything to shout home about....
  9. Didnt know that. MR2 ones i had were good quality. I shall look out for this when i refurb my callipers this winter!
  10. Filter and sump plug are both nice and tight, nor is there any oil around either of them. Just the oil from the rocker gasket.
  11. This sounds about right then. I would say its used a litre over the last 2.5k
  12. I havent as under hard acceleration my mates fiesta disappears but in all seriousness i have been eagle eyeing the back of the car whilst driving and there hasnt been any.... I assume the oil coming out of the rocker could burn off pretty quickly especially if its falling onto the manifold. Ive got the gasket as long as the part number is correct i just dont have a torque wrench that goes low enough and didnt want to do it by hand, unless someone local can lend a hand ill have to buy one
  13. Im having a small issue with my non turbo supra. Ive been using a little oil recently, had to top it up from just below full back up again a few times. I havent got any blue smoke from the exhaust just a bit of white smoke which i think is just condensation as my water levels arent going down at all. I have just done a 1200km drive to cornwall and back and the oil went from full to about half, on the dipstick, ive just put a small amount in and its gone back up again. I do have slight seeping from the rocker gasket at the rear down the block but it is only minor and im sure this cant account for the amount lost, or maybe it can? Question is is there anything thing eles i should look for or am i best getting a small torque wrench (mine doesnt go low enough for the cam cover) and changing the gasket and seeing if the loss stops......
  14. Go to tcb parts or big red for the calliper kits. Ive always found them cheaper than toyota.
  15. I love my n/a and havent had too much stick. I do find it funny people who don't know Supra's. Ive had it a few times in petrol stations people saying things like: "ah nice car, they are single turbos, with like 400bhp arent they"
  16. \\ That would be great thanks. Yer any bits you remove that you dont want ill take Really want cold air in the car again.....
  17. Mine were all still in good nic and could be re-used. If you are planning on refurbing the callipers etc then you may as well buy new ones as they are cheap and it wil be one more new part on an old car imo.
  18. No worries. Ive got a leak somewhere, but i assume its the condensor rather than the piping. Will have to hope someone else has a condensor that needs a new home
  19. Any chance you have the bits still and want a new home for them?
  20. Out if interest is there any benefit of removing the aircon? Or is it just for weight?
  21. Can anyone confirm the the part from blueprint. ADt 36744 is the correct gasket for my car.
